Another problematic quest. This is a very easy quest. I have to fly to Thunder Totem and find an NPC to turn in the quest. There is no NPC to turn in.

She is not there. Is The Hammer’s Cradle the right place? I see only the Innkeeper Ernu Mesawind.
EDIT: I found her in the Hall of Chieftains. She is not a turn-in NPC.
So where do I turn in the quest?
Do you have your Low-Level Quests ticked on?
At the thin bar above your minimap, left hand side, there is a small button. Click that and it lets you specify many things to see or not. I advise ticking them all ON.

I ticked every checkmark at the Minimap. I abandoned the quest and took it again at Riverband. It sent me to Thunder Totem, where I saw Warbrave Oro. He introduced me to Thunder Totem, but pointed me tot the elevator where Mayla Highmountain would await me.
I went down with the elevator.
I hear Mayla yelling, introducing herself, “daughter of the High Chieftain Ulan”. I did see her, but I can’t do anything with her.
The yellow question mark shows me, that she would be above me, maybe another floor. That’s all. I can’t do a thing. I can’t finish the quest. Anyone who can? There may be a work around.
This morning, there was a new patch available: 11.0.2.56625.
You saw her, but you don’t know where she is? This is not clear.
She is on the very bottom level of that building, in the middle of the floor.
You may be phased by something. Are you on any Allied Race quest? Is there fighting going on around the top floor?

There is a contradiction of her location. She is indeed on the very bottom level (I used the elevator to get there). But on the minimap there is a yellow question mark with a little arrow upwards, showing that she is above me.
I am at an Allied Race quest (which is bugged), to acquire the elligibility to make a Highmountain Tauren character. Maybe I should abandon that.
Yes. The Allied race quest chain is reported to interfere, on that Wowhead page I linked above.

It doesn’t work. Parts of the questline that I have to follow, have already been completed. No way to undo it, no way to complete this quest.
I will quest elsewhere, until there is a new patch. 
There is one other thing that might work. Might. Party Sync.
I am parking my Tauren paladin at Thunder Totem now.
If we make a Party, then maybe my being there will phase Mayla for you.

If you have tried everything else suggested and still can not seem to find Mayla, group with someone that can see her. Make sure they are the leader. Have them turn on party sync from their world map screen. You should now be able to see Mayla where she is standing for the person you are party syncing with.
Just tried this with a guildie after she placed a ticket and was told to check Wowhead for help which we of course had already looked at. My 34 Warrior was party lead. I had to turn off timewalking at Chromie for her to see me also. Not sure if that affects her seeing Mayla or not. After party syncing, she could see Mayla standing in the center of the giant drum instead of behind the totem. I had already completed the quest, but she was still able to turn her quest in. Hope this helps someone out. Thanks for reading.
