Same for me; the game just stopped with a Windows pop-up about lack of memory - for the first time ever.
Wasn’t doing anything that I haven’t done before a hundred times (I know for a fact that I’ve previously had much more stuff running on the PC at the same time with zero issues), PC is less than a year old, 32GB of RAM, all addons up to date.
This happened multiple times.
The only notable variable is that this took place in the pre-patch event zones (but like I said, I’ve levelled many, many characters during previous pre-patches with no issues and on less capable PCs)
No error code for me that I noticed.

An out of memory error message in most cases indicates either a software conflict or an issue with one or more addons (if any are installed).
For clarity I’d like to also point out that having a huge amount of free RAM does not exclude any of the two possibilities above.
First steps to troubleshoot this situation would be to close any background application running with the system, as well as resetting the game UI completely.
Would you be so kind as to try both steps and see if the situation improves?

i have had this issue a while back but at that time my game was set to run Dx12 and i then switched to Dx11 which solved it for me so if you haven tried this i would suggest to give it a try
