Kel’Thuzad’s Scourge army at his disposal and the mortal races still managed to defeat the Scourge forces in their suprise attacks against the human base?
Highly unlikely, with Kel’Thuzad’s power, being the most powerful necr omancer, second only to the Lich King himself.
So Kel’Thuzad the Arch-Lich himself, who could control atleast hundreds of Scourge forces at the same time.
He would’ve outmanuevered their forces easily in ther own territory with the Lich King’s presences and power all over Northrend.
It was just bad storytelling there, could’ve done better!
With this logic and the use of adventurers, any antagonist would be vastly overestimated.
No matter how it is coloured, or maneuvered, I can’t think of a single instance where an endboss and its attached raid wasn’t just smashed into and killed in one fell swoop.
Well, first and foremost he was one of the Council of Six, the ruling council of Dalaran where the most prestigious Archmages with the highest standard of wisdom and intellect.
He forsoke all of this to become a student under the most powerful necromancer in the world, who would teach him knowledge and power beyond his wildest dreams.
After Kel’Thuzad ressurection in the Sunwell, this powerful necromancer in life became a master of necromancy in undeath. His consciousness expanded tenfold along with his powers and his influence thanks to the Sunwells power to fuel his transformation.
He was able to control and command hundreds of Scourge forces at once and he also secured his immortality by binding his soul to a phylactery.
He is by far the most cunning of our advesaries (except the Lich King, KJ, Deathwing and other godlike entities).
So he is known to be cunning and scheming, and with his knowledge and his masters almost endless knowledge he would be able to figure out how to conquer them easily.
He is the one who infiltrated Lordaerons villages and created the Cult of the Damned, who basicly was the backbone of the Scourge and a big factor in its success. All this in secrecy too.
So its pretty unrealistic when they defeat them so easy.
Welcome to Blizzard’s writing team, how would you like your character ruined? Randomly defeated by odd plot points? Kamehamehad into oblivion with a piece of jewelry, or resurrected through retcon?
