With shadowlands being on alpha stage and guys from wowhead doing some great data mining I think I saw the model of kel’thuzad in there too, I mean we all know that last time we fought him he didn’t have his phylactery on him so all this time had was hiding somewhere or he was hidden by someone, there could be a chance he is connected to maldraxxus in shadowlands someway ??? and also we know in maldraxxus you will be able to create you own abomination but he was the creator of them there could be a chance to see him play that part in the zone ?? want to know your thoughts on it
Knowing blizzard he is going to get offed at first opportunity with complete disregard to prior lore.
From what I’ve read we “end” his manipulations in a scenario, but I hope that’s not the last we’ve seen of him.
Apperantly he did die during WotLK then?
Could be it’s just his spirit that’s there and he can still come back to the world of the living or something.
okay sounds pretty simple scenario and all with his character and lore I think he deserves little bit more spotlight to be fair and in classic he was a boss which he was defeated but he was reanimated in northrend then in wotlk his second defeat happened but he was clever enough to hide his phylactery so we couldn’t kill him for good
His body did yeah but not his spirit, that’s in a phylactery that we still have to “find”, he’s still out there somewhere no doubt paradoxically constantly laughing and bewailing the death of his cat.
Yeah but I meant if he’s not dead why is he in the Shadowlands? Since it’s the afterlife and all. Or is it indeed just part of his spirit that’s trapped there or something.
If he was “alive” as far as that counts for a Lich, he wouldn’t be there right?
I can’t help thinking Shadowlands is just an excuse to dig up a bunch of old characters.
They might as well have come out and said ‘hey, you remember all these guys that died a while back right? Well in Shadowlands they all live together again in this new zone called Nostalgiaros.’
Pretty much. They’re really scraping the barrel with their current ‘writing’ team.
I mean, not really…? We’re going to the realm of the dead, who were you expecting to come across there? Living characters?
And who decided we were going to the realm of the dead?
Think it through.
Just like the twisting nether and outland it’s just a place that at some point we háve to go to simply because it exists.
Kelthuzad in Shadowlands can look like dark skinned human and not necessarily like skeleton that is magical form Litch’es take. We don’t know if Necrolords are transformed beings or just a Shadowlands race.
I don’t believe that Kelthuzad is dead to appear in Shadowlands-Shadowlands but he might become a new Scourge leader in realm of living. That is if Scourge can be controlled with helmet being destroyed.
I mean blizzard did say that there will be in the shadowlands pre-patch scourge invasions just like back in legion pre-patch so maybe he will show up then or play a part in that scenario, but without the helm they are pretty just left to do what they want but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any control over the scourge still or something stopping him from creating new scourge
