I have been having difficulty with input not working through my keyboard when playing WoW classic. It always happens approximately 5 minutes after logging in and then I will have to press keys multiple times before any input will be noted, almost feels like my keys are sticky. The only fix I have noted is to close and re-open WoW. It does not happen in any other games or on my desktop. I do not use add-ons so it is not related to this.
So far I have tried:
-Reinstalling WoW classic
-Repairing WoW files
-Repairing UI
-I have tried stopping system start ups on Windows in the background and it is not related to these, and in addition stopped background programmes running ie GeForce Experience
-Updated my graphics driver
-Bought a new keyboard
If anyone is having similar or could suggest any fixes it would be much appreciated.

uhhh … thats a new one …
and this only happens with WOW ?
you say you bought a new keyboard … did you buy a keyboard from the same manufacturer ?
also have you checked the event viewer to see if there is something recorded there ?
also … maybe it is sticky key ? have you disabled sticky keys ?
Thanks for your reply! Yes it only happens in WoW. The new keyboard is from a different manufacturer, I’ve also removed all other USB devices from my machine. I’ve disabled sticky keys.
How would I view event viewer? It happens like clockwork about 5 minutes after logging in, then all of a sudden I need to press each key 3-10 times before it registers.
if you have win 10 you can click right click the windows start button and select event viewer from there and you can check under windows logs the application and system views to see if you find anything of interest there … there will be allot of spam and warnings and errors there most of them not related to your issue … but its worth checking.
Beside that you can try to plug your keyboard into a different pc port and make sure you dont use any hubs and so on
You might be onto something, every time the keys stop working, in event viewer I have an error from “SecurityCentre”, I’ll let you know how I get on trying to fix it
interesting.
if you cant find any solution just hit me up with an image of the error and i can see if i can find any info about it … but if some security application is reacting then that is something at least =)

Is the error message, I’ve updated my anti virus and windows security centre, and tried making an exception for WoW in applications but it doesn’t seem to want to work unfortunately, thanks again for your help
