Hello everyone!
About one week ago, a strange problem started to appear. While playing World or Warcraft, some keys randomly appear to be “stuck” - by that I mean when for example the A key gets “stuck”, my character starts turning left indefinitely, as if I was holding down the key. This only stops if I press the key again. This happens at random and quite frequently, severely impacting my gaming experience.
Furthermore, this problem is not limited to World of Warcraft per se. While running WoW, I noticed that keys on my keyboard are frequently double pressed in other applications too, for example when typing something in my web browser. This problem only appears after running WoW. If I don’t start WoW, my keyboard is working normally. This led me to believe, that it’s probably not a hardware problem of my keyboard. A few days ago I even got a Blue Screen of Death, with the error code SYSTEM PTE MISUSE after launching WoW, which is further hinting at a software issue.
I’m at loss at what to do, since I can’t find any other topics regarding this issue. I already tried the usual stuff (deleting WTF and Cache, updating drivers, etc.) but to no avail. I hope that someone here can help me.
Best regards,
Dalnaar
