Keyboard unresponsive in-game after logging onto alt

Hey everyone, so I logged in today after hearing about the 18th birthday event and did [The Originals] quest.

Then I decided to log over to my Warrior, and I couldn’t move, in fact, I couldn’t do anything at all unless I clicked the icon with my mouse. I had to move by holding both mouse clicks and I can’t use any of my skills by using keyboard inputs, or even open chat by pressing enter.

I still have all my keybindings set in the menu, what could be causing this? I’ve tried reloading UI, relogging, character unstuck, nothing seems to work and it happens on my main now as well, even though I was happily questing with him just half an hour ago.

You are not using a keyboard that needs batteries are you?

When the batteries in mine are getting low the keyboard starts to play up a little before the batteries are totally flat.

If it is not battery orientated have you tried to see if the keyboard works with other services like websites or games?

If it is not that is the keyboard you are using wireless or wired?

If it is wireless have you attempted to disconnect and reconnect it?

If it is wired have you tried to disconnect it and reconnect it?

If it is wireless have you attempted to unplug the USB receiver and then plug it back in?

Have you tried updating the drivers to rule out it being a driver issue?

Have you tried restarting windows just in case something there is causing an odd issue?

This happened to me with my mouse from time to time. Could not click items in my bag or move items around. Turns out it was corrupt and outdated addon causing the issue. Check that you are not running an outdated or corrupt addon that may cause this issue for you. I deleted it and I have been fine since.

This solved it! I had activated NeatPlates because I really dislike the standard enemy nameplates nowadays, it didn’t show up as out of date but I still had it from before the Dragonflight pre-patch.
