– Khonsu Hard mod –
Hi,
I’ve been encountering some frustrating issues during the Khonsu fight in Hard Mode on the Season of Discovery, and I wanted to share my experience to see if others are facing the same problems and to get some visibility from the developers.
Phase 1 Issues:
During Phase 1, Khonsu attacks five times (4 cleaves and one AoE), with each attack supposed to be separated by a ONE-SECOND PAUSE. However, I’ve noticed that sometimes this PAUSE IS SKIPPED, resulting in back-to-back attacks that are almost impossible to dodge. I’ve attached a video showing this happening. Each of Khonsu’s attacks leaves a white AoE on the ground that fades quickly. When attacks follow each other too closely, the overlapping AoEs obscure the next one, making it difficult to react in time.
Imagine if the boss decides to do his AoE (we move to a corner), then immediately follows up with a cleave on our position without the one-second pause. It would be impossible to dodge since we can’t run fast enough to get behind him at that moment. (our movement speed is limited during the fight).
Phase 2 Issues:
In Phase 2, meteors fall from the sky and are generally avoidable if we keep moving without doubling back. However, there are instances where meteors hit us even when there’s nothing visible underfoot. These bugs are rare but become more frequent once they occur.
I’ve been killed at 22 stacks and 26 stacks of “Astral Perfect Victory” because of its unexpected bugs that are not supposed to happen.
My goal is to reach 100 stacks, but with unexpected bugs like these, it becomes quite frustrating. Has anyone else experienced these problems or has any insights? If you’re reading this, any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
I want to clarify for anyone watching the video and thinking it looks dodgeable from their perspective: these kinds of attack sequences aren’t supposed to happen, and they really catch you off guard. Additionally, if we die, we lose all the accumulated stacks, which adds to the stress.
