Kicked during raid Gallywix HC encounter while dead and got saved but could not roll on the loot? Is that okay and how it should be?
I mean im fine getting kicked but either I get saved for the boss and being able to roll or I dont get saved and I dont get to roll.
Tried to contact Blizzard about it and they gave me this answer which I dont think its relevant to my concern:
"I completely understand how important it is to be able to participate in a raid and get your loot. Since the content is new, it can be challenging to get used to it. I want to assure you that I donât take any of your concerns lightlyâthey are treated with care.
After investigating your case, thoroughly reviewing the forums, and checking your logs, I can confirm that you were kicked by the raid leader and got saved to the instance. This isnât something I would want you to experience, especially since it resulted in you being locked to the raid.
I highly recommend, whenever possible, joining raids with people you know or perhaps watching guides on other platforms to help reduce the chances of dying during encounters. According to the logs, the main reason the raid leader removed you was because of a death during the fight. While I believe this is unfair, as a raid leader, they have the authority to make decisions regarding their group."
Thank you so much for taking the time to contact us and bring this to our attention. If you have any other questions or concerns, please donât hesitate to reach out again.
After checking the GM answer as copied by you, the given answer was entirely accurate.
Notably, this part about your issue of being locked to the instance and not getting any loot:
Now a little bit back:
If you donât damage the boss at all (you remain dead or alive) during the encounter then you get locked to the instance. That is how it has been programmed.
Notably this can happen when a raid encounter starts during LFR but you did not enter due to boss engage started and finished - but still locking you for example.
If you want to see changes about this you could submit a suggestion. I agree tho that its morally wrong being unable to roll but still get saved to it.
There is no need for such replies. I had bad luck died as the boss got enganged and again iâm not frustrated that I didnt get loot. Itâs more about either I get saved and get to roll or I dont get saved and no loot. That would be more fair.

This was not a response from an actual customer service rep. A real reply takes up to a week+, if you were answered within hours, itâs all scripted/machine learning.
Even tho I agree slacking should be punished in a way but not like this. And the comparison is horrible, rating is not giving you a chance on your BiS item and you donât have to wait a whole week to have the chance to fix the rating loss.
Right but unlocking a lockout Becuase you got kicked mid fight isnât a good precedent to set. Tho I agree he probably shouldnât be locked out in the first place
