So I was leveling on my alt and I got kicked from the dungeon group for pulling some mobs. That’s fine, but did u always get 30 min dungeon deserter from being kicked? Don’t remember such thing before, or maybe I just was never kicked.

Dungeon Deserter has been 30 mins basically since it existed.
PVP Deserter is only 15.
the deserter debuff usually only applies when kicked or you leave before the first boss.
No, I don’t only know this because of abusing it for memories…

It’s less if you’ve killed the first boss, sometimes no timer at all, depends on the dungeon.
Yes , if you get kicked before first boss. 30 minutes. It is less after first boss, ive tryed it, just get up on your horse again. Maybe a gnome who kicked you?

Oh the kick is not an issue. I was afking a little and then tried to catch up pulling half of the dungeon accidently ultimately wiping us so I definitely deserved it. Was just wondering of the cd because I don’t remember seeing it before.

you can’t be serious right? its a normal dungeon he is talking about. kicking someone from normal for pulling mobs accidently once is very harsh. Especially when there might be tons of people in normal who havent done that dungeon yet or are just new to the game/expansion in general. Can’t expect everyone to know all skips on normal

No, no it isn’t. He literally admits to going afk and disrespecting his group. The kick was very justified.

This has happened to me before in bfa, I was top dps and they kicked me for no reason just before first boss, then I couldnt rejoin for 30 mins. So I had to queue for 30 odd mins to get in as dps, to get kicked just before first boss, to then have to wait another 30 mins to be able to queue for another 30 mins again… 
they need to change the kick function, players that queue with friends troll together and kick for no reason. They shouldn’t be able to kick anyone unless the players not moved for X amount of time (afk).

Deserter debuffs serve no purpose in this game and are unnecessary.
It should be removed years ago.

I got kicked after first boss in what ever that bfa prison dungeon was called. I basically charged (I was playing warrior) at the little mobs that came out of the pipe and then got kicked. I’d not said a word to anyone, no one had said anything in the instance chat aside from ‘Hey’. Believe it or not I’m actually a nice player, if people are nasty I just report them. I was playing with a Hunter yesterday in arena, seemed nice, but his pet name was racist, so I reported it. His pet name changed back to the animal name and the guy DCd exactly when I reported. He didn’t come back, I felt kinda bad but shouldnt be racist.

cant belive this is still an issue after a 4 year break. If a player leave then the debuff is justifyied butt not if a player gets kicked ??
so if you get kickted before first boss by making a mistake that is actually trolling or lets say destroy some ones gameplay… really dont like rage peeps like that. first it was you dont have raid gear and doing a normal dungeon you get kickted now its again you pulled a bit more mobs now we gonna kick you because you made a mistake… yeah RIP WoW…
