You can only play tank classes if you are a certain race (biggest race per faction) so you can easily be spotted by healers.
Lore is screwed anyway, so doesnt matter if you can play a Draenei Druid
Or just bring back Vengeance:
When the game sense you are tanking a dungeon or raid instance your size is increased by 33% so you stand out amongst your dps and healing buddies.
iām the same, some might call it sad but it ruins my immersion, maybe if they updated the look of them to this century, something a little less obtrusiveā¦
iāve thrown hissy fits in bgs with my healer when someone put it on and you couldnāt remove it, donāt know if you can nowā¦
i know for a fact that when you even ask politely for it to be removed they just ignore you, believe me, when iām healing you donāt need to know whare i am, i will find you if you are in troubleā¦really, really hate those thingsā¦
iām not a kicker though, has to be really bad behavior for a yes vote from me, iām a leaver, a shameless sulker sometimesā¦sorryā¦
Anyone can understand that this is least of the downsides of this automated system. Only reasonable solution would be to have moderators and that means more expenses which is a no no.
Wanna get rid of it fully? Sure, Iāll be the first one to join a group and AFK at entrance letting people clear it for me, because they canāt kick me.
There are aholes everywhere and believe it or not, to someone elseās perspective you are the ahole. Get over things like this, life will hit you with lots of these. Good luck and have fun, find the good parts like requeuing
Really, was getting kicked worth another forum post? Nobody cares dude. People get kicked, and if everyone who was kicked made a post here about it, weād see nothing else. So please, either start a personal blog, or next time youāre kicked, just breathe to 10 and resist the need to post about it on the forums.
Iāve seen people who mark others randomly without saying why and if you change which mark, or remove the mark, they go ballistic, sometimes verbally abuse others. We canāt know if you did this, although of course Iām assuming you didnāt.
Iāve tried vote-kicking others without reason just to see if the myth of āeveryone just presses yesā really works and Iāve yet to see it actually work. So I think most people actually do vote properly. This means the party agreed they didnāt want marks. Did you insist upon it or just ask nicely, explaining why you need them?
Iām annoyed when Iām marked, because it covers some of my screen and is distracting. Plus, the person marking never picks smart marks imo - a skull on a tank makes zero sense, for example. A skull is for a priority target enemy, so I keep thinking a priority target is still alive when I see the skull.
Iāve also had slow days where I canāt keep up and needed marks. Never been kicked for it though. Try asking them, and if they agree, let them know they can change the mark you chose if they donāt like what you picked. Thatās usually done the trick for me, and no oneās been upset so far!
Good luck! Also, the forums donāt really like āI was kickedā threads, so you might get a LOT of āwho caresā-replies.
I got kicked once because I death griped a mob away from the tank.

Some people have fragile egos and will try to punish you to feel temporary release from their insecurities.
What punyelf doesnāt seem to understand is that the ignore system will not fix the problem even if it is actually working to stop grouping, firstly, it will make your own queues longer, secondly you do not know who kicked you and thirdly, it does not stop it just happening again and again to other people.
it most often happens to tanks and healers as they are the ones who sign for the in need bonus bags, and generally not to the same person all the time.
While it can still be infuriating, I managed to calm down a bit since I realized thereās an autism epidemic going on, and online gaming will have somewhat of an overrepresentation.
The effect will often be appearing as a big a-hole, but might be someone who is just pathologically unable to view things from someone elseās POV and thus becomes
absurdly intolerant / very selfish
unable to critically view their own actions in contrast to other people, thus not gaining any feedback on bad behavior. (Can lead to people living in an utter phantasy world where they are awesome when theyāre the opposite.)
Awareness of such can turn at least some of that anger into sadness, and then you will send less energy into the entanglement of the situation and just move towards avoiding risk of exposure, especially where you can make no difference even if you wanted to.
I.e. do things with people you can trust. That is, after all, totally the norm in the world out there, too. Many people have their trusted circles because they are being burned so often if they engage with strangers, since society is so nuts and troubled.
