Kiljaeden still unsoloable due to throwback

Hi i have recently tried doing tomb of sargeras mythic and two bosses are basically impossible to solo purely due to mechanics the avatar and kiljaeden due to the mega throwback from the singularity orbs the distance was supposedly nerfed in throwback distance but they still throw me straight off the platform. and also the speed of them spawning makes it impossible to get close to the second one after being thrown away by the first one if u by a lucky break get close enough.

The problem you’re describing has absolutely nothing to do with group size?
You’re just messing up your positioning for them.

If the knocks were not doable then the boss would be unkillable regardless of being solo or not.

There was supposedly an hotfix to how far they threw you back a while ago where it was decreased, but it seems to not have been the case. and after i get knocked back by the first time the second one is too far away / spawn to quickly on the heals of the first one that it is impossible to reach it before it detonates and throws me off.

You are supposed to get knocked to the corner where the next orb spawns. If anything; a decreased knockback distance would only makes it harder to not get close enough to the next orb (since he spawns so fast).

Your current problem is that you duck up the mechanic and gets knocked off the platform. This problem would exist for the whole group and would also result in everyone dead (= not killed the boss).

^ This. I’ve done the entire raid solo as ret a few weeks ago without any issues. Like Tsjoh is saying, you’re supposed to use the knockbacks to get in position for the next one.

There’s a few ways to make it easier on yourself. As a paladin you’re kind of lacking on mobility options, but not nearly so much that it becomes impossible. Take any talent/conduit/et cetera that gives you more uses of Divine Steed and makes it last longer, and go Night Fae for the Soulshape so you have an emergency blink.

The main thing to keep in mind is to save all your big damage cooldowns for phase two, when he lands for the first time. Being able to hit him down before he can transition into his darkness phase will make him so much easier to kill him.

Yes since it is impossible to move fast enough as a pally despite them supposedly doing changes to coutneract that mechanic they need to make more changes to that mechanic.

I don’t think they will ever do anything. Same with Dragon Soul if you can’t deal with the mechanic when your are riding on Deathwing’s back you are knocked off and wipe.

That’s simply not true though, I’ve done it as ret without any issues.

Equip all the Shadowlands gear with + speed ( even greens) and spec into mobility talents. Should be a cakewalk.

That’s not even necessary, double divine steed is more than enough, you just have to pay attention to the mechanic :stuck_out_tongue:

Genuinely don’t understand what OP is on about tbh, if he thinks it is impossible now it means it was impossible back in Legion which is just silly.

There is even a video of a ret paladin doing it in 9.0.5, gear should really not be an issue either.
