I found a bunch of bots in Freehold and thought it’d be a laugh to kill them, I then saw that some people had been banned for mass killing bots? Am I in danger now?

how did you get them into pvp mode or were they already in it?
Killed 100s of lvl 50 boomkin bots in Zul Dazar from time to time over a time span of weeks because I hate bots.
They farm in warmode and there is nothing wrong with killing them.

no, I hunted them on a industrial scale in bfa, never got banned for that.
A lot of bots are on War mode.

I’d say it depends on if the bot owner is around at the time, if they are you might get mass reported leading to an automation but since it hasn’t been done yet id say you’re safe.
Might do if they mass report you and you’ll be in their combat logs. WoW’s “game masters” tend to ban first when alerted to something and don’t bother asking questions later.
I assume they are taking advantage of the mass report system. You can enter in contact with blizzard and i’m sure they will fix that.
I griefed rusian bots for 8 hrs straight before i got bored. So unlikely
