King Terenas

Well, it’s not quite polite to use a question instead, but can you give me any examples of N’Zoth expelling saronite clouds? Because otherwise I do not think I need to look for any further proof other than the use of Saronite Vapors to summon “faceless” (those vapors used otherwise in the game once, iirc, during the general Vezax encounter).

edit: Actually, Brann also says “Gettin a familiar feelin’… an’ I don’t like it!” At the time he could not be familiar with N’Zoth, but he was present during the “siege” of Ulduar.

Except that those vapors could have been coming from left-overs of Yogg-Saron’s forces, as there are two faceless mobs literally spawning in that room.

You have not proven anything.

And even if it was Yogg-Saron, you still haven’t proven how that is relevant. That scenario was 5 years ago.

You can drop your speculation, it’s not happening.

Well, time will tell where it all can go.

There is a couple phrases taken from the Yogg-Saron fights recently.

Yogg-Saron:
no king rules forever

[used by Terenas with Yogg music during the post Lich King cinematic, and Sylvanas in the first Shadowlands cinematic]

Yogg-Saron:
Eternal suffering awaits!

Devos (Afterlives: Bastion):
His eternal suffering awaits.

But no confirmation so far, obviously.

That’s like comparing Terenas to Gul’dan, and those two aren’t comparable, one is pure evil and one just isn’t

Thanks for introducing me to that guy. I lean pretty far towards cynicism about the story by now, so it is refreshing to see people still taking what is shown in the world seriously. And to be fair, WoW’s visual storytelling and foreshadowing might be a lot better than its actual plotting, so keeping an eye on it seems like a good idea. I mean, arguing from authors’ intentions is fine and all, but it isn’t just the authors that create the game world. Thanks for reminding me.

“Recently”? You do know that fight came out like 12 years ago, yes?

I think it’s pointless to entertain these fantasies when Blizzard clearly is not interested in Yogg-Saron, but believe what you want.

Recently means:

Nov 1, 2019

and

Aug 27, 2020

I mean, depends on the goal. I think that “what if” discussions sometimes could be fun. Although I have to agree that arguing with a goal of “winning” instead of sharing ideas / arguments is a rather pointless waste of time. However, since the forums are public, maybe somebody else might see interesting ideas here and there.

I mean, that doesn’t prove anything. If that’s your only evidence as to why Yogg Saron was speaking through Terenas’ ghost, then the theory is shut down immediately by the fact that Uther said the same thing too.

Was Yogg-Saron speaking through Devos too? LOL, So now everyone is Yogg-Saron?

Wishful thinking, nothing more.

IMO proves are the things that we can retroactively agree on once the devs make decisions. Example:

one of topics of discussions of the community is different “whispers” in the game. Usually it only focuses on just the old_gods™, although it’s only about a quarter of such “foreshadowing” things. Among them there is such line.

Il’gynoth (Emerald Nightmare):
Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path.

And guess what do we have.

Sylvanas:
This blade is more than a mere dagger. It is a torch that shall light our path forward.

Xal’atath:
Hear me, God of the Deep! I have brought you the Opener… the Bringer of Truths… the Torch That Lights the Way!

So, we have at the same time the blade itself being “the torch”, and the player character. At the same time. Which will the devs pick? I have no idea. They have options. So much for seeking the confirmations.

I did not claim that it was Yogg-Saron. I said that there might be a connection not yet revealed. For example, there is an easter egg in the ruins of the Capital City. If you set the ambient sound to the max on the top level of Undercity you can hear the bell sound.

And guess what, kyrians use their “bells” (vespers) to open the portals from Shadowlands to other realms in the Great Dark (aka physical universe in WoW / “reality”). The devs can opt to never touch this and just leave this easter egg as an easter egg. Or there might be a closer connection from the place which was chosen by Menethils ages ago to the reams of Death.

And if the devs make the decision to do so, all the set ups are there, from Kathra’natir messing with the Lordamere lake, to uknown plagues that have it’s traces preserved nearby, and similarity to another place where the Veil is weak (Ice Crown), etc.

But once again, even though there is more than enough hints that could be found from Classic quests of Apothecaty Society till the current Bastion story, so that this turn of the story would not be a sudden one, it does not mean the devs will want to go in this direction.

Don’t think so. But old_gods™ could foresee the future, so there could be hints (aka the devs might make a choice to place in the future stories some references to it) related to the future events.
