I haven’t played the game in a long time and this event always escaped my attention. Now I’m determined to get the mount from here as well.
I can’t do half the daily missions because the game always throws me into an ongoing match. The gameplay is horrible, I can’t cast a spell normally because of the lag and the whole game is about the 2 factions killing each other in the middle of the field. If I didn’t quit myself, I would spend the entire 20-year anniversary there.
I try several characters every day (horde and alliance) but I haven’t seen a single team win 
2 daily missions can be completed (speak quartermaster, collect armor scraps) easily, this gives 20 TW badges, I will do them for 10 days accompanied by a deserter bann and as soon as I have the mount I will never for the life of me go near this garbage.

You only need to do it once and it should be done for the week, even if you lose the match.

Tried it yesterday and the lag was horrendous. The game just freezes for 5-6 seconds and then speeds up afterward to catch up, and any sense of gameplay or action goes out the window. And it’s just constant. The game just can’t handle any double digit number of players on the screen at once it seems.
And I quite enjoy epic battlegrounds, so it’s a bit annoying that the game’s performance is so absolutely god awful.

I can’t even wait for us to lose 
People only go to farm for honor, they kill each other in the middle of 0-24.
Wanted to try to farm Frostwolf rep, but gave up after 1 game.
20years still laggy 40v40. Too a lot players fight for our PC.
Need fix this. Or make less players like 20v20
Or make some time gated version.
I’m beginning to despair of it too … I’ve tried twice and, in both cases, given up because no-one’s playing to win. It used to be fun to make your way down south, taking towers on the way and defending them until they burnt down and often ended with both alliance and horde attacking their end bosses at almost the same time.
Now, people just mess around in the middle and don’t move further south (and don’t even try to take the tower in the middle.) No grabbing the important graveyards … nothing.
Every other year I’ve done it once a day for fun. I think this year it’ll be once a day (if I can bear it) until I get what I need for the quest and that’s it.
Unless people finally realise it’s not fun this way.

The event is fun but the lag is really bad.
Alterac in Vanilla was not laggy.

It was not lagging 20 years ago on my 23 years old PC with 1/4000 connection speed as I have now.

done just to reach 500 honor. after i gave up. i remembered 6 hours battle back in time. but now i havent the time and the will to play this.

You can’t. They removed PvP tokens from the anniversary vendor before the patch came out.
Was at it for 40 minutes before I left, and ofc I got the deserter debuff… least I got the 500 honor kills for the weekly, I’ll ignore that tripe from now on.
How anyone liked this is beyond me…

Absolute terrible design, who thought that making a 40 vs 40 WITHOUT A TIME LIMIT was a good idea? Then you add up the constant freezes and 10 second delay on spells and you get the worst PvP experience imaginable.
How is this billionaire company getting away with potato 2004 servers which are unable to handle 40 players together is beyond my comprehension… And yes I said 40, not 80, because in world bosses happens the exact same.
And guess what, after being there for 1 hour fighting back and forth, I got misteriously kicked for absolutely no apparent reason, though I admit I got relieved when I got out…
