Korrak's Revenge is the best thing to happen to leveling in WoW in years

Korrak’s Revenge is the best thing to happen to leveling in WoW in years, and quite frankly: should stay in the game. It’s keeping people playing it. It’s totally reinvigorated a majority in the guilds I’m in. I will be sad to see people quit when it’s gone.

Pre-Launch Legion invasions were the best thing happening to levelling in a long time. Korrak’s revenge is unfortunately so cluttered with griefers and straight up incompetence that it’s hard to call fun. Not to mention how skewed it is in favor for horde when it comes to strategy. They get to run in a straight line an win as well as having a head start. While Alliance needs to split up to even have a chance.

Personally I’ve levelled 30+ characters to 120 using it. Though I don’t think it should stay, but it sends a massive message to blizzard that people are pissed off with long levelling (it means nothing in Wow). I hope their shadowlands promises are true. If not they are misunderstanding the player base once again.

Short levelling doesn’t make people pay for more subs or level boosts. Off the idea table that goes.

Being able to AFK level is not a good thing in my opinion.

But the Shadowlands leveling revamp looks promising.

Indeed.
I remember everyone gathered up together having fun, fighting legion invasions.

My GM from this guild, back in vanilla, put the following message:
“PVP is only fun when you win”.

Probably he was a bit frustrated because some of his officers (guilty here) were more concerned doing Bg’s than helping in guild activities.

I must say he was right back than and he’s right even today.

After all the imbalance problems Alliance (in general) and Horde (RP realms) faced in war mode, who thought that this was a good idea tbh ?

I haven’t turned war mode on a single time this expansion, as I disliked the overall theme, and how it was introduced. But if War mode is anything like Korrack’s revenge, it’s no wonder the Alliance complains all the time.

Honestly, I would lie, if I would say I don’t like 100% victories, but last time I checked Korrack’s revenge isn’t a warfront.
It has 40 players in each side and at the end someone’s going to win and someone going to get mad, especially if they are on losing side all the time.

Games are made so people have fun.
What part of “fun” Activision Blizzard doesn’t understand, is beyond me.

If they keep insisting in this formula of crossing PVP with PVE, I am afraid more people will quit.
If we look at Korrack’s revenge, that’s exactly what it is.
Leveling:PVE + AV: PVP.
Than we have Warmode exp bonus and rewards.
Where was the time when PVP and PVE servers were separated ? Gone now.

Surely there’s a section of players that enjoy raiding and PVP.
But there’s also players that only enjoy PVP 24/7 or PVE only, like my case.

Agree.
Got to keep those $$$ coming, otherwise, investors will not be happy.
That’s why I leveled up every single one of my alts including one character I brought from deletion.

Honestly scaling for me can be translated in to: “spending more time hitting a mob, for the same rewards.”

You never know what new “bright” ideas they may come with SL.
I still remember, non documented changes, to the game, that none asked for, as mobs scaling with your ILV gear in BFA zones.

Will I be able to explore MoP zones as a level 50 as I can do now as level 120 ?
I honestly don’t think so.

For me there’s a huge difference between being a level 120 and hitting a level 90 mob and being a level 50 hitting a level 35.
Which can be translated in to: more time hitting mobs to collect the same rewards, again.

I just hope I am wrong …

Cheers.

So anything that speeds up levelling.

I got 5 of my 110s levelled. I can’t be bothered with any more. Maybe my paladin

Even they had there leechers and afk players and was nerfed and buffed and then nerfed again . People will always abuse a system.

I agree, it is great, and I am going to miss it. Shadowlands leveling might be fixing some of the current leveling issues, but as of now I don’t see why ordinary BG’s couldn’t give as much XP as Korrak’s. I think that’s my carrot. It is very motivating seeing the last levels go that fast.

I’ve had a blast as both Alliance and Horde, and I will miss it.

Sorry but no. Just becouse there was content what allowed easy and fast leveling doesnt make it good. If people likes more being afk in bg rather than actual leveling there is clearly something wrong with your game.

There are actually people that are not afk, and like to pvp in battlegrounds. I have had alot of fun and would like to be able to level in pvp decently fast in the future

Well newsflash, some of us aren’t afk.

Yes it is but would be decent to buff all other BG’s xp too. You know you could level up in BGs since Wrath but at some point the xp gain was dropped. Some people prefer PvP over spamming mindless dungeons so how about returning PvP leveling method? Korrak is unbalanced but thats because in Vanilla Horde didnt have Paladins that gave raid 20% speed boost. Now its gone so Alliance advances slower.

I’m curious about the supposed 50% speed increase. 1-100 is already so fast it feels like I’m on a private server with increased exp so I can’t even imagine it going any quicker without feeling super broken.

Iv’e had a lot of fun when there are bgs with 500 kills.

Honestly, av should not be about kill boss win bg, it’s a pve race, rather than pvp.

I had 5 characters @120 and was honor level 9 when this started. Now I’m at 12 characters @120 and I’m honor level 31 (the lowest was around 30 at start, the highest 110) :slightly_smiling_face: Will probably make it to 13, and with some luck (ie, alliance wins) perhaps even 14. I’ve done this BG non stop since it started, and I’ll be sad to see it gone.

What I liked a lot were the synced stats - You didn’t have to bother much with gear and a few twinks abusing the whole thing aside, combat felt fairly balanced as a result. Should have disabled the Azerite shebums as well, though.

I also liked that there are a lot of things one can do on the map.
They could all use a bit of rebalancing, such as Galvangar/Balinda, who currently seem to be somewhat useless, the shredder materials could be obtainable inside the BG and the cavalry could use a bit lower requirements, but overall, I liked that these things existed and became relevant if the game turned into a zerg.

What I didn’t like were the people and the map imbalance.

Overall, I’ll be sad to see it go.

/signed

plus some extra characters as /signed is not 10 characters

It gives me a sour taste seeing that I have to carry those AFKing leechers at the base/mountains. The EXP is amazing and queue time almost instant which makes me forget about those freeloaders.

If Blizzard is willing to do something about those AFKers, I will sure support this BG to continue to be playable.

Most fast levelling events are well received and appreciated by the player base.

However there is always an element who will try to afk as much as possible in them, no matter what they are.
