Great today finally after long wait and before fully upgrading procopoc console i can fly in Zereth Mortis. Feels amazing…yet i’m already done in this zone except genesis mote farm.
I would really like go back in Maw and Korthia do content…but every time i go there i just can not think about time i will spend and waste while running.
Did not we suffered without flying enough?
Devs enable flying in these zones.
EDIT: MAKE FLYING GREAT AGAIN. ADD FLYING TO ALL ZONES IN SHADOWLANDS in Season 4.

Really? I have no intention of setting foot in there again.

I’m definitely returning to both the Maw and Korthia someday, and I would be in for being able to actually fly in these zones.

Imagine if we could fly right from the start, how much better this expac would feel to play.

They are dead zones at this point, quite literally, you have very few reasons to go there and that usually doesnt require you to leave the safe/rest zones.
I just found out the kyrian maw assault quest is bugged. Even Blizzard already forgotten about this place.

I still need most of the collectables and profession recipes form there, so it is on my roadmap.

I hate the Maw. I never minded the difficulty, or density, or whatever else people were complaining about - I hated just being there. Mostly the sounds, I think. It’s much less oppressive with sound off. Unfortunately, I then can’t hear my own casts, and that makes fighting very difficult for me.
So no, I don’t care what toys or mounts or achievements I’m missing. It’s not worth spending time there.
Korthia … mehhhh, I’d rather not, but if there’s something I wanted, I’d go get it. Maybe.
But flying is never going to happen in either for the same reason it never happened in Argus: the zone isn’t made fully 3D for flying. And they’re not going to go back and do all that work now for zones most people would rather forget.

I don’t mind the Maw and Korthia but the assault quests are too much for me.
I still see people farming Korthia and the weekly anima quests in the Beast Warrens.
You can see that it is a zone made with ambitions, the hunts, the events.
But it’s too oppressive as already mentioned. And lots of people still associate it with the early phase when you could not mount if you are not a druid, a shaman or a worgen.
And GTA’s wanted system.
I rarely use the upgrades, the spectral rope is extremely situational.
But it’s still a good zone to farm elethium ore.
It would definitely give some people more motivation to ever return to these zones

i hope they did not designed those zones without flying…
Neither do I.
It might be something I do in three or four expansions during a content drought as by then I’ll be able to one-shot the Elites in the Maw.
I do farm my “Death” rep and collect mounts and mogs now in both Korthia and the Maw. I would rly like flying there, but as the zones are designed it will never happen!
I even try to finish my “Mecha-done” achievement for the mount and it is harsh! But the mount is so dope!
The best part is that all those meta-achievements are optional and don’t actually interferes with you character progression!
I agree flying is needed in both zones, it would have made The Maw bearable. Flying was needed in Korthia in the beginning to get to rares on that other small island. At this point, I will not set foot in either zone, unless its required. I will probably do my farming once we are about 2 expansions ahead, this way I can one shot everything and farm in peace.

Honestly, they might as well. Just place invisible walls around the Maw and Korthia like they did in Zereth Mortis and let us fly there.
There are still plenty of collectibles left over there for me…
Flying would make me happy, too.

Exactly. But no flying is very demotivating to go there.

Definitely could use flying, we made this zone our own practically with the invasion but the enemy can still fly about while we’re stuck on foot. Flying would be good.
It’s funny if you think about it, in earlier expansions, the content of the current expansion stayed somewhat useful, even during later patches… for catch up gear, because rewards were updated etc. now with SL and especially the ZM patch, even the old zones of the current expansions were already trashed.
No wonder the old world get’s ignored completely, if the devs can’t even manage to keep the zones of one expansion up to date…
Well the bug got fixed yesterday, apparently it is their spaghetti code.
But yes I agree. In classic there was no issue of this because you could turn in mats from blackrock depths for Naxxramas reputation and consumables. So there were still people doing those dungeons at the end.
