Kul Tiran Pride Thread

Hello there, as you probably know Kul Tirans aren’t exactly popular currently being the least played race (at least until Diaper Gnomes arrive). As a big fan of the Kul Tiran myself I thought I would make this thread to share why I love them and maybe get the opinions of my fellow big boys (and girls).

Note: If you don’t like Kul Tirans it’s perfectly fine, I am not saying you have bad taste, I am just saying why I personnaly really like them.

So why love Kul Tirans ?

  1. They are just massive, I think their model is even taller than Tauren but I could be wrong as I have yet to come across a beefy boy standing still so we can compare our heights. Either way they are big boys and what’s not to love in being a behemoth standing out in the crowd ?

  2. Strong man body type. Unfortunately this point is more male Kul Tiran oriented as Blizzard didn’t commit to the idea for the female counterpart which I would have prefered more Zarya like. But when it comes to male you can’t deny that they have some tree logs arms able to beat an orc at bench pressing. I know the big belly is a turn off for most and I can see why as it is a bit exagerated even for the strong man body type but this is wow, everything is turned up to a 1000% and even you’re bookworm mage you looks like an Action Man figurine.

  3. A unique rig. Kul Tiran are, until Vulpera become available, the only allied race with a unique skeletons. You might dislike it but what’s unique is automatically better, it’s scientifically proven. So you get some sweet animations when you slam some mobs and hordes with the previously mentionned tree log arms.

  4. They remind me of Astérix characters. Ever read this comic ? The Kul Tiran really remind me of the Gauls with their huge arms, big bellies and small legs aswell as their quarrelsome personnalities. Sure they aren’t the most aesthetically pleasing comic book character but they are sure lovable. I just want to yell “I AM NOT FAT” like Obéllix when I haymaker anything of a cliff.

(Here is a little illustration for the non-initiated)

  1. Haymaker. This is the best racial ever, I don’t care if it isn’t actually that good it’s still the best. Whatever it is you can send it flying. Remember the giant fire elemental a top a volcano near Darshore ? I punched him off his volcano.

  2. Brush it off. Still on the topic of racials here is an actual good one (although haymaker is still awesome). The stat boost is always welcomed and the self heal effect is great, basically you automatically mitigate a small portion of all damage taken, it’s a tank dream and works especially well with Brewmasters. This racial alone make Kul Tiran some of the best tanks in the game.

  3. An awesome lore. Even before BFA Kul Tiras was awesome, it was the ships kingdom, who doesn’t like ships ? And it played a big role in both Warcraft 2 and 3. And now with Bfa spotlight Kul Tiras probably has some of the best lore among all Human kingdoms, honestly I think only Gilneas is comparable at this point. You got a unique religion, political system, a possible Vrykul direct heritage with the drust, great zones and capital city aswell as a unique form of druidic magic.

  4. Unique druid forms and lore. Appart from the boomkin which should have been a construct KT druid forms are some of the best looking with a unique witchcraft feel to it. Beside they don’t actually have fur so you wont be called a furry for playing a druid if you go KT.

  5. We have an actual coat. For how long people have been asking for an actual coat to look edgy while standing around menacingly in the Cathedral Square ? Well the KT heritage armor got you covered.

  6. A ton of classes to play. Although I do miss paladins since KT paladins were a thing I understand why Blizz didn’t had them with all those cool classes the KT rock. They join the club of ally shamans with their unique totems so if you don’t want to be a spacegoat or a shorty while unleashing the power of the elements on blue team here is your chance.

Thanks for reading KT and none KT friends, remember being the lowest reprensented race can be good. We are a rare spawn ! So play what you like (yes even the Diaper Gnomes).

I’m not into big bulky guy kind of character, but I can understand those that are.

I do have a female Kul Tiran Druid at level 120. If only I liked the Druid class better I’d play her more often.

Friendly though  The one I met yesterday, we sat at a campfire she put down just a little distance from Korrak while the Horde steam rolled the last few towers in the alliance spawn area. Had a good chat about WoW classes and other WoW things.

Afking in AV with style.

Fat guys are indeed incredible addition to the game, they win the contest of fatness by far since nothing is as fat or so out of proportion as them (maybe they would only tie with the ogres on that) :

Sapping and haymaker off a cliff is awesome. Doing it in Korrak’s Revenge AV a lot. Best laughs I’ve had in a while.

Just wait till they will be DK-playable. I cant think of any other Alliance race to be more fitting as undead~ unstoppable juggernaut than
vrykul-sized human.

Their racials complement class as well:

  • 2% versitality (very good for DK if not core stat) with little help of 2% healing over 4sec from dmg taken.

  • Nature and Frost resistance fits a corpse

  • Also to top it off there is crafting bonus to all professions that is awesome

I already have a dk ready to be race changed as soon as they become available.

I am still a bit off from unlocking Kul Tirans, which after I’d like to level one sometime.

In the meantime have my support. Even if they aren’t that popular Kul Tirans are damn cool in my book (don’t punch me off from a cliff though, thanks.)

Did somebody say; Kul Tiran thread?

Come brother, this is our harbor.
