I know it has been talked about a bunch, just want to talk about it myself. Loving the game at the moment and I think all of the Covenant races deserve to be neutral allied raecs (emphasis on neutral/cross factional) however I just had a thought about the Kyrians and thought I’d share, even though it’s probably already been mentioned. Though I’d prefer the hypothetical Kyrian race to have wings (and just let you fly, perhaps, where flying is already permitted), I could settle for a “Kyrian Aspirant” race where you are essentially tasked with proving yourself as your levelling goal. Up reaching the level for your allied race heritage armour, Blizzard could easily make the Ascended wings a cosmetic back option (perhaps providing the choice of a Light and Dark variant). Personally I think they should make a race with wings that simply ignores the back slot cosmetically, similar to mechagnomes because I think it also adds more opportunity down the line if they continue to break the mould (looking at you Naga and Dragonspawn etc). But yeah, just wondering what other people think and whether or not people think that the covenant races will become playable.
They have all the potential stuff to become playable races.
They are unique
They have nice lore
They have their own customization
And they have racial like abilities
So yes it’s very possible

I want a Kul Tiran/Kyrian crossover so basically I can make Brian Blessed from Flash Gordon and macro yell “Gordon’s alive?!” as I tell my fellow hawkmen to dive!

It’s prossible, but I’d honestly prefer that the actual afterlife didn’t spill too far into the world of the living. At that point it’s thematically the same as it being just another planet we’ve visited, only these people are - at least on paper - dead and reformed to a higher purpose.
I think I’d honestly prefer more racial customization for the races we already have.
It’s not just the path,in order to achive that they are removing,“clensing”,your past life memory so you can pass judgment on other souls,its one of the motives on why the Forsworm exist.The Kyrian cycle actually makes alot of sense.I am just saying its not feasible as an allied race cause you will break the Veil whats death/undead in the setting if you start given SL races as AR.(like wod broke the timetreveling,alternative dimension thing,you just dont open those doors in your setting)
Personally I think those doors have already been opened. Mortals are faffing about in the shadowlands and the very theme of the expansion is that the shadowlands have been faffing about in the mortal plane for sometime (Jailer/Lich King, Loa, Valkyr etc).
SPOILER ALERT:
At the end of the Spires of Ascension dungeon the Archon, leader of the Kyrians, actually admits they may need to rethink the path. She basically recognises the value mortals/mortality played in stopping the forsworn. However she says we should first focus on dealing with the jailor. So the Kyrians could become a little less culty in the future
This. Also we don’t know how the shadowlands story will be resolved. The relationship between life and afterlife could be permanently changed
Only if we get playable skeletons from maldraxxus or owl people from bastion.
Kyrians are just humans with blue face i just hope they would then be a neutral race like pandaren because what alliance really doesn’t need is another human race.

In my opinion the running animations look terrible. I figure both male and female use the female vrykul skeleton and it looks bad on both.
They want to make it a playable race, improve that animation at least. They all look like they are power-walking.

Necrozugzugs and ugly vampires fits the Horde.
Btw, never mind a dollar…if I can make a Vultan char he’ll serve the public trust, protect the innocent and uphold the Horde law
