Lady Innerva canceling Deathborn?

So i was fighting lady Innerva and i was doing pre pot → deathborn → mirror images → into no death born the next second…

so i did it again and tried to cast icy veins and it got canceled again… so prepot and deathborn is a no go?

okay so someone told me to not precast it before boss it pulled because it resets it once boss agro

entering boss combat with deathborne active will remove it. precast frostbolt 2 seconds before the pull, followed by deathborne. prepotting is no longer a thing, because all dps potions have a static 5 minute cooldown regardless of combat status.

also, don’t press mirror images in the opener. it’s purely a defensive cooldown, as the amount of damage the images deal is completely insignificant.
