Lamented pieces off the Ah… what do I do once I purchase it? Does a char need a prequel done before I can do anything with it, or just a chunk of gold? Toying with the idea of picking up some of the Warr set for my DK, but I don’t want to mess about with quests! Any info or a link to said info Woolf be great. Tried looking and failed
Edit: moved it to general because no one reads transmog
Hey! Yesterday night I just learned everything a person needs to know regarding this new naxx thing.
So, once you get a lamented piece, you will need to “clean it” using several items. Many of them can be purchased on the AH, but others, have to be bought from the “sleeping” goblin above Thaddius (you unlock that NPC after getting the grappler, few argent dawn marks, 5 from naxx and 20 from strat/old scholo bosses, a black coffee and 3 dark runes, after waking him up with a Stratholme holy water).
That guy sells you the armor tokens that have this little chance of give a lamented piece, and also a thing that costs 2k gold each. Now, you will need near to 180 ish of them (so 360k) to discover head and shoulders pieces, and less for the rest of pieces. I remember reading that you needed 1.8milion gold in vendor matts for a full t3 set.
That item will be BoE on the next patch (source: community speculation). If you aren’t in a rush for getting the t3, I’d wait a bit and try to buy those in the AH in the next patch, since I assume that people will sell them for 1.2k or so, which is a pretty good save!
Thank you my friend! I was looking at purchasing the piece off the AH and then I read up about the 200 or so pieces for 2k each. Not sure how badly I want the mog! I have the gold, but not sure if it’ll get boring lol!! Once again thank you so much for the help
I’d agree that 1 million isn’t a mad cost for it, and I doubt THAT many people will actually bother with it because of that. Vast majority of the player base never get that much gold so it’s just for fun for ‘richer’ players
Hi, your reply is 99% correct, except that the Phylacterweave reagent (2k per) will become BoA, not BoE. This means that if you farm the pieces on multiple characters you can save yourself a little gold if you’re lucky.
A full set of tier 3 will cost you 2.8 mil gold (can confirm, because I’ve acquired a full set of mage + warlock T3 in the past few weeks).
