Laptop for raids

Hi all! I immediately apologize for my English - I’m writing this with the help of Google translator.
I want to ask you for help, in short - I need a laptop for comfortable raiding in DF.
Now a little more.

  1. I can’t use a PC. I know they are more powerful and cheaper, but I CANNOT use them.
  2. By comfortable raiding, I mean 60~ FPS with graphics settings at 3-5.
  3. My budget is limited to 1000$ and this is a very large amount for me, which I have been collecting for quite a long time. Therefore, the option to save up twice as much and buy a more powerful laptop will not work for me either.

Below I will list the options for laptops that I am considering buying. Perhaps you have experience with devices with a similar configuration or you can advise me on some other laptop that meets my requirements. In any case, I will be very grateful to all who responded.

Acer Aspire 7

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500U (2.1 - 4.0 GHz);
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, 4 GB;
RAM: 16 GB;
SSD: 512 GB.

ASUS TUF Gaming F15

CPU: Intel Core i5-10300H (2.5 - 4.5 GHz);
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce GTX 1650, 4 GB;
RAM: 16 GB;
SSD: 512 GB.

ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (config 2)

CPU: Intel Core i5-11400H (2.7 - 4.5 GHz);
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, 4 GB;
RAM: 16 GB;
SSD: 512 GB.

Asus ROG Strix G15

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H (2.9 - 4.2 GHz);
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce RTX 3050, 4 GB;
RAM: 16 GB;
SSD: 512 GB.

Wow can run on a toaster tbh.
Go with something with good rams and Nvidia Geforce and you good.
Clearly though you will need to decrease all the graphics down to 2-3.

I’m afraid the toaster won’t be able to deliver a stable 60 FPS in a big raid. At least my last computer couldn’t, despite 16 GB RAM and a Graphics card GeForce 660 Ti Boost. In addition to 60 FPSin a raid on low graphics, I would also like to see 60 FPS in m+ at a graphics level of 8-10 :slight_smile:

Not a chance on a laptop with your budget sorry.

Personally, I would thake the H processors.

They’re better for gaming on laptops.

3050 TI is prolly best you can get adn should play wow for you

Thank you very much for your answer, but I still hope you’re wrong :slight_smile:
I’m not very tech savvy, but I’ve read reviews from people under laptops that I cited at the start of this thread, and people said they can play games like RDR2 and Elden Ring on high graphics at 50-60 FPS. I don’t think activities like m+ in World of Warcraft put more pressure on vehicles. But I may be wrong.

Thank you very much for your answer, I will definitely take your advice into account :slight_smile:

Just dont run RTX setting and you should be fine.

Also, Always play with a cooling pad like [

Trust GXT 278 Notebook Cooling Pad (I use this on my laptop if I use it for gaming)

I know that a cooling pad is needed. Thank you for recommending yours!

They are Gpu heavt games, WoW is more Cpu heavy what with it being such an old original engine.

my old laptop was mq4820, (2013/4) 16gb ram, nvidia 970m and was working for 5 years. played raids in setting 1. obviously (bought 1800euros)

now i have a new one (2200euros) but i still prefer less intensive graphics (like 4 with spell settings tuned down), as the visual effects from 10+ people are annoying and not informative. plus it consumes less electricity this way :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: and will last longer

in general why do u need graphics 3-5??? on raids??

This is a huge purchase for me and I would like to get the most out of it. Therefore, I want to enjoy the game in raids as well. I do not need ray tracing or huge textures, but I also want to avoid completely poor image quality.

I hope I understand the difference. Thank you)

I have a variant of this, my CPU is the 11800H.
WoW runs great on it.
I have settings cranked to 10 & get very reliabe fps. The worst I’ve had is about 25fps taking on a World boss with a ton of spells going off.

well in my opinion buying a more expensive laptop is better than cheaper one. it will last longer and play more games (futureproof)

i also saved for 1 year for my old laptop :stuck_out_tongue:

Such answers are especially informative for me! Thank you.

I hope in the future my salary will be higher and then I can afford to change the laptop that I buy now :wink:

;p you already have 70% of the value. just save 2-3 more months…or you are in mythic world first race guilds?XD

Sorry, I don’t want to go into details, but this option won’t work for me. And no, we do not take the first mythical :slight_smile:
If my budget was not enough for an acceptable laptop, I would put up with it. But people like Aylmeric give me hope that even for such money you can play WoW with pleasure!
