Laptop for WoW

Hello,

Would you let me know which one could let me enjoy WoW at medium/high experience with decent fps? Not sure how many should feel ok to enjoy game withouth fps drops below 10 in raids

I am not an expert, trying to compare recomended spec for Wow with something cheaper offered at this moment from gaming laptops.

Which one would be best option perfomance/price? (not looking if it is most expensive)

  1. MSI Thin GF63 12UC i5-12450H/16GB RAM/512GB SSD/RTX3050 4GB 799eur
  2. LENOVO IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 Ryzen 5 5500H/16GB RAM/512GB SSD/RTX2050 4GB 679 eur
  3. MSI THIN GF63 12VE I5-12450H/16GB DDR4 3200 MHZ/512GB SSD/NVIDIA RTX 4050 6GB 899 eur
  4. Asus TUF Gaming FX506HC-HN004 90NR0724-M01940, Intel® Core™ i5-11400H, 16 GB, 512 GB, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 785 eur

I am checking for 16GB RAM as on some forums says it is important, but not sure which else CPU or Graphic cards should go next and which ones are better.

Thank you!

You should go with the fastest CPU you can get for WoW if you want good FPS in raids.

So from the ones you listed i’d say #1 is the best price/value.
The 12450h is ~11% faster in singlethread than the 11400h and ~16% faster than the Ryzen 5500H.

The RTX 4050 is basically bait, it is the same as the 3050 just relabeled and more expensive.
There is a problem though, the 3050 only has got 4GB of VRAM.
Which is enough for WoW in 1080P but not for more demanding games.

So if you want to play other games too, you might want to get the 4050 with 6GB or a better GPU in general, preferably with 8GB VRAM+.

All of them are on the low side. The game will work but it won’t be amazing and if you try other newer games it will only be worse.

Try looking for a RTX 4060 based laptop or equivalent. 16GB+ RAM, 1TB SSD. Then check given model reviews for things like heat, noise, screen and build quality. You don’t want a hot and loud or otherwise problematic laptop.
