So i play WOW on what was a mid range laptop about 6 years ago

its a Dell with a 2.5Ghz I5, 6GB Ram, and a AMD Radeon HD 7600M Graphics

the game runs quite well, not fantastically but good enough for me

but i never get more than 17 FPS

after some fiddling, i stumbled across something interesting

if i disabled the Intel HD 4000 in device manager, wow was suddenly able to run at 50+ FPS!

now my question is:

does anyone know if & how i can convince my PC to run at this FPS all the time

or is that not a thing?

Right clock on wow.exe and there should be a settings option on which GPU to run it with. Just set it to always use dGPU and you are done. Similar setting is on wow too.

thats got it

there wasnt any option in windows i could find but in the game under System <> Graphics i changed my monitor from “Primary” to “Monitor 1” and that sorted it
