I’ve finally maxed out the upgrades I can do on my desktop pc so am looking to replace. However I’m wondering if a gaming laptop would be better. I’m left handed and use the arrow keys and the number pad instead of WSAD, so therefore a laptop keyboard may not suit. Any advice?
Laptops do work but you will pay premium for same performance (and noise, display size may be a problem/preference).
So what is your budget, what are your expectations/goals?
Thx for reply. £1000 budget. I play about 3 times week for about a total of 20 hours a week while the wife is on nights. My computer is upstairs in the spare room. I mainly pvp. Just sometimes I would like to sit in the front room and fish for example, or farm mounts and achievements. Aybe I need both a laptop And a desktop!
You cam get a laptop with like GTX 1660 or wirh luck RTX 2060. Good but not awesome. With a PC for same money you likely would get up to two tiers higher GPU plus upgrade options down the road, option to select screen and keyboard.
Desktop all the time. For ease of being able to upgrade if and when you need to.
You can’t do that with laptops so what you buy is what you get until you buy a whole new system again.
Go for Desktop if you are not “mobile” guy moving left and right. Desktop it’s all the way due to the fact of “cooling” laptop will never match desktops.
