Last wish - Nightborne customization

The song was originally written for the Cataclysm dungeon The Well of the Eternity, the music was a background song as you are wandering in the Zin’Azshari and you need to experience the life 10,000 years ago.

It was even mentioned by devs that they liked the song so much that they decided to use it for the Night elves thus it has no connection to them.

Heck, they have used the Kal’dorei Empire banner for the Kaldorei Resistance, the whole purpose of the Kaldorei Resistance was to banish anything connected to the Empire.

This again proves how much of a lore they know of their own game.

Also, you have mentioned the tone of the song.

The “song” is actually a chant, a chant you would hear from Temples of Elune, I have not seen any chants that are sang happily.

Again proving my point that you lack the knowledge in lore, Nordrassil is a name of location Mount Hyjal, which was present during the Empire, and it played a big role.

Nordassil is a Darnassian name of Mount Hyjal, and it was not created, the Well of Eternity was moved there by Kaldorei Resistance.

You saying it same as saying Columbus have discovered America when it was already discovered and inhabited lmao.

Go as an Alliance player to the Waking shores and try to trigger the Nightborne guards you will see which spell they are using and whether they are paladins or not.

this makes no sense. if the devs started using the song for the night elves, and continue to do so. why do you think it has no connection to them?

it does officially. they even used it many times around night elves in Ardenweald, Battle of Darkshore, and they will probably use it when the new world tree grows.

the devs using it makes it canon.

Keep living in your delusional bubble then.

They have literally replaced banner of Darnassus with the banner of the Kal’dorei Empire, yet you think they will not use the music.

Ciao won’t waste my time on uneducated “lore geek” wannabes

do you know the exact name of the NPCs?

The Nightborne guards when you arrive on Dragon Isles, they use paladin spells.

y. I wanted to check them on wowhead with they’r toolkit if you had the NPC actual names ^^

Luna i get you are a passionate Nightborne fan, but you need to take it down a notch. im just having a civil debate. Your reasoning for the Nightsong as not being canon can be the same reason people would argue that Nightborne paladins are not canon and Blizzard simply doesnt know their lore.

see the similarity? its easy to twist lore about what is and what isnt canon. but lets not go overboard and call someone delusional over having a civil debate. maybe you are the one that should explore a little more past your nightborne bubble, you might come to realize that Night elves are more than what they seem.

and remember this, im not a Nightborne enemy. I love them and play them. i play all races besides Mechagnomes, just because… transmog issues

The tree was grown from a single acorn of the recently lost Mother Tree, G’Hanir, by the great dragon Alexstrasza in the waters of the newly reborn Well of Eternity on the sacred Mount Hyjal. After that, she blessed the tree with strength and vitality, which also extended the night elves.

Ysera’s blessing upon the tree bound it and the elven druids to the Emerald Dream, allowing them to enter her realm freely where before it required difficult meditation. But the most important blessing came from Nozdormu, which ensured that so long as the tree existed the night elves would remain immortal.

This would ensure that even the most corrupt of night elves would be drawn to protect the tree

The night elves then took up residence in Nordrassil and the surrounding forests.

Nordrassil means “Crown of the Heavens” and it was the name of the World Tree, what are you on about?

Nordrassil , meaning the “Crown of the Heavens” in Darnassian is the original World Tree of the night elves, located on the new Well of Eternity atop Mount Hyjal in the mountain’s summit.

It granted the elves immortality, and allowed the druids to enter the Emerald Dream with ease, until the Battle of Mount Hyjal which severely wounded the tree and where the night elves lost its powers. Nordrassil’s roots grow deep into the earth, spreading life-giving energy across the world.

This is similar to what the first Well of Eternity did before it was destroyed.

Here is a map during the days of the Kaldorei Empire, I don’t see any “Nordrassil” in Hyjal’s location.

so you don’t play dracs either?

well i dont have dragonflight, but their Visage form is fine.

Mechagnomes are good with heritage armor but that’s it. i prefer regular gnomes.

The song Nightsong is indeed mainly played whenever Night elves are around. It is a Night elf song as much as “Lament of the Highborne” is a blood elf song.

Bunch of lowborne commoners woke up and decided to be delusional.

Do you never get tired of talking crap?
With this RP mental breakdowns you start to seem more and more like Erevien.
So do you still believe your “Nordrassil was a location during the days of the Kaldorei Empire” theory?

Nordrassil is Mount Hyjal and it was present 10,000 years ago… For the sake of Elune please check the map.

Of course it was freaking present 10,000 years ago that’s when it was planted and blessed by the Aspects after the War of the Ancients, even Shaladrassil was older.

"Alexstrasza the Lifebinder, placed a single, enchanted acorn within the heart of the Well of Eternity.
The acorn, activated by the potent, magical waters, sprung to life as a colossal tree.
The mighty tree’s roots grew from the Well’s waters, and its verdant canopy seemed to scrape the roof of the sky. The immense tree would be an everlasting symbol of the night elves bond with nature, and its life-giving energies would extend out to heal the rest of the world over time.”

Once again slapped on the face by the actual lore, how does it feel Luna?

Nordrassil is not Mount Hyjal, it is in Mount Hyjal, where it was planted.

alas their feeble eyes are already failing truly sad

So, we come to the conclusion that “Nightsong” is indeed a Night Elven song, as it was either created after the War of the Ancients and the defeat of the Highborne or simply changed.

As Anizah said, Elves don’t let go of their ancient traditions that easily.

The song is ours, it is part of our culture, the pesky Nightborne players just keep trying to steal everything from us.

Get lost.

All the best people are Lowborne, haven’t you watched Harry Potter?

It is but dedicated to a Queen who you went against of.
