Latency is jumping since 23rd of December

Since 23rd of December my latency is going haywire. Before that date it was a steady 30-40ms both home and world. I logged in on 23rd, died while jumping from cliff and using the glider which didn’t start untill I hit the ground - saw latency jump to 1500.
Started observing and it’s both latency types going nuts - first home will go to 700, then world will jump to 300, then home will drop to 30, world will go 1600, then 800, then 300, then home will go back up etc.
Saw this in Ardenweald, The Maw, Torghast (while running the floor) on Tarren Mill.
Tried a character on a different realm, seems better, but the latency is still higher than usual. I even checked Overwatch that had 30 ms for me, but now it’s 80+ and I can feel the delay (so it’s probably higher than 80).

I did try repairing, clearing addons, ipconfig /release /renew /flushdns etc.
I am trying to determine if it’s an issue with Tarren Mill or with routing.

Did a whole looking glass while the latency was on around 550ms. Would be great if someone could take a look and nudge me in a correct direction.

Hello Ascót! It could simply be seasonal load+covid giving your ISP, or the surrounding infrastructure, a headache. Try these steps though:

Hello Rejuvithorn,

I did all those steps well before posting. It might be seasonal load, but there’s 3 places where the issue can be - Blizzard side, ISP side (closer to me) or routing. I am trying to determine which one is it to decide next steps - if it’s Blizzard - obviously you would see it and maybe check it, if it’s ISP directly after my modem - they can take a look or inform me if there’s a problem. Routing is the worse problem as neither ISP nor you can do anything about it I think.

Outside of Spain where seveal ISPs are having issues, we’re not aware of any specific issues on our side, or with any specific ISPs currently, sorry Ascót

I did a normal WinMTR after the latency started jumping again. What I can see is high latency jumps on steps within Blizzard ISP (at least it is Blizzard ISP according to iplocation). Did a 10min of each of the 3 IP’s.
