[Latency] - ping doubled two days ago

Hi there,

My ping has more than doubled in the last couple of days (from 120 ms to 300-400 ms). Does anyone have any advice?

Some things to note:

  • It’s just WoW
  • Based in Dubai connecting to Tarren Mill, but it’s happening in classic HC as well (so not isolated to Tarren Mill)
  • Reinstalled everything
  • Updated all drivers
  • Restarted router and updated firmware
  • It sometimes goes up to over 600 ms
  • The tracert doesn’t look great, but I’m not sure how to fix it
  • I get the same result all times of the day

Known issue at this point they ignored people crying for 320 posts at this point i would not hope it gets fixed anytime soon.

Its also every server and only specific shards / places, i for example wouldnt lag what so ever doing old questlines in legion or running old raids but the second i step in into emerald dream or thaldraxxus = instant 400 ping.

Thanks for the info. Yeah this is not great… I’'m new to Wow was thinking of picking up the new expansion, but unsure now. I don’t have tons of time to play, but the game feels terrible like this.

I got a reply from Blizzard on a support ticket. Apparently it’s my ISP. So every game is completely fine except for Wow, but my ISP is the problem. Okaaaaaaaaay nice cop out…

Bro read the 320 replies topic, everyone did the same its always gonna be our issue and not theirs despite people from multiple countries and multiple isps lagging at the same time
