Latency problem

I have been regularly playing World of Warcraft from Türkiye/Istanbul for the past four years. However, approximately two weeks ago, I encountered a significant issue with my ping. Despite attempting various troubleshooting steps outlined on the support page, such as deleting addons, reinstalling the game, and resetting old files and IP configurations, my ping remains consistently high, exceeding 150 levels.

In an effort to resolve the issue, I contacted my internet service provider, and they replaced the modem and conducted thorough checks, yet they found no underlying problem. Furthermore, I provided tracert files to both the game’s support team and my internet service provider for further analysis, but unfortunately, no solution has been identified thus far.

As a last resort, a friend recommended utilizing a program called ExitLag, which has proven effective in stabilizing ping at 55 levels. However, it’s worth noting that this software incurs a cost.

I am reaching out to inquire if anyone else has encountered a similar issue or if there are any additional suggestions for resolving this matter. Any assistance or insights would be greatly appreciated.

As someone that has played from US to EU since Cata so that I can play with my friends, I and others have been complaining for at least year. They never investigate it from their end, they just give basic troubleshooting advice and It has only gotten worse.

I have watched over the last few years as my latency went from 96ms to 200ms with spikes of several hundred and some really bad unplayable 1k ms days.

I have to actually use a game vpn just to play now and even that latency is creeping up. It’s also almost as much as a WoW sub.

I have had a technician replace all the outer wiring of my building and spoken to my ISP tech support about what I can do, just to see if anything and the issue isn’t on their end.

This is likely my last expansion sadly. As I can’t afford to pay what is essentially two subs for this game only for the latency to still be creeping up with no word from Blizzard despite mine and others threads.
