Latency, routing - some tests

Hello,

I realize it’s unlikely to get a response (nobody does), but giving a bit of input, just in case it’s processed.
I posted about a week ago and cannot add there, so have to post anew. There was a trace route, too.

As such I have to repeat that I experienced latency issues in Remix for the last few weeks, but also Heroes for months. I don’t recall Remix issues during prepatch so.

This week I ran a few pings to the server “above” (meaning Heroes), with consistent 175-185ms results.
Mostly played D3, without issues, except the last hour, which was rather laggy. The net-o-meter :wink: was green, however got 1-2 second spikes and the meter was also moving between 40 and 250 ms, the latter rarely.

So I decided to do a few pings to try and rule out my connection:

  • www.cnn.com
    Minimum = 9ms, Maximum = 16ms, Average = 11ms

  • eu.battle.net
    Minimum = 31ms, Maximum = 34ms, Average = 31ms

  • google.hu
    Minimum = 6ms, Maximum = 9ms, Average = 7ms

  • blizzard.com
    Minimum = 178ms, Maximum = 182ms, Average = 179ms

  • en-forum.guildwars2.com = a311129.invisionservice.com
    Minimum = 6ms, Maximum = 13ms, Average = 9ms

I’m also pretty convinced that either some Blizzard services have been entirely routed to the US (hence the stable but slow connection) or something else is up. Doesn’t explain the lag spikes, except it occurs in peak times apparently.

I see people are reporting stuttering as well, I don’t want to draw conclusions but it appears fairly clear. Would be jolly to see the issue is acknowledged and ideally owned.
