Launcher Issues?

Hi there,

Are there any issues with the launcher/login servers right now? I’ve just started up the Blizzard launcher and I’m unable to login. All I get is the spinning Blizzard icon underneath the login box.
After some time, it times out and directs me to check ‘breaking news’ but there’s nothing anywhere about any problems.

Nothing is wrong with my internet, it’s working fine and has been all day. I was logged in to the launcher earlier today without any issue.

Same issue on my end, even trying Nvidia geforce Now i cant login via battlenet. wow runs fine without the battlenet launcher

Awesome, thanks for confirming it’s not just me!

Also having this problem - it looks like Windows installed a cumulative update today and I’m wondering if Battlenet isn’t compatible? That’s the only thing I can think of.

I don’t think it’ll be anything with Windows as I’ve got an update waiting, just haven’t run it yet.

Having the same issue - re-install battle net etc. but the issue persists.

No issues here. I was able to close and restart the launcher and play WoW and other games without issues.

Just installed Battle.net on a spare laptop and it is the same issue there - definitely an issue with the launcher (located in europe).

thank god that i found this post because i was going crazy trying to figure out the problem

I made the post because I was about to go crazy myself. xD Blizzard aren’t exactly quick to notice things usually.

Hi !

Do you have the X-Box app installed on your computer?
Did a network trace and found a connection to the app…it trys to sync some data and it fails.

Anyway - go to you xbox app → settings → extensions → disable the Battle.net extension

Launcher opened for me afterwards

It’s installed, but isn’t open. Let me give it a try and see.

Edit: It’s already disabled in Xbox app, so it’s not that either.
Edit 2: Also, the launcher opens perfectly fine… it just doesn’t log in. It’s like there’s an issue connecting to the login servers themselves.
Edit 3: After a little fiddling with the launcher settings, I managed to get in to the actual launcher (without logging in) then logged in while looking at the game list/news/etc.

Open the Launcher
Click the cog above the login fields (top right)
Click ‘continue without logging in’ - The launcher should hopefully load up with your games etc.
Click to ‘go online’ (top right) and try logging in there.

It failed once for me, then worked the second time so… might just need a bit of an internal kick? shrug

Sorry, works for me.

If I enable the extension again my launcher gets stuck again.
I used Fiddler (network trace) and this request:

GET /creation/flow/xbox__data_share_healup HTTP/1.1

Got this reply:

3f6e
Whoops! Something went wrong.
Please wait a moment and try again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

(Only visible in Fiddler not in the launcher itself.)

After I disabled the extension the request was not set anymore and Battle.net opened fine.

Edit: My launcher never opened - I got a spinning Battle.net logo after entering my creds and nothing else happened for me.

That’s what was happening to me. So I bypassed the login step using the cog above the login fields, then logged in once the launcher had opened properly.
