I’ve been in constant back and forth with customer support about a real small bug. Transmogs don’t show on my character, not a big deal. The big deal is the extremely rude and incompetent customer support, so i took this a little too personal and am really thinking about filing a lawsuit.
I read the eula really carefully and nothing in there states that blizzard is protected from failing to provide the full product to it’s end users.
I obviously won’t do this alone, and paying a thousand or even few thousand bucks to a law firm to file the lawsuit for me is a thought i have more and more often .
So has anyone been in similar situation and if yes, what are you experiences?
And then paying tens of thousands to Microsoft, when you lose. Remember Blizzard is owned by Microsoft now, and the loser has to pay the winners legal costs as well as their own.
According to their eula, if i reside in Europe, there is a branch of their company located in europe, for just those purposes. So why would i be in the us forum?

Bolding mine. Game exists. Game has bugs. This is known. Report the bug and if it’s not fixed, vote with your wallet but don’t waste time and effort against a legal bulwark.
It’s most likely a doomed cause, we all know that. I personally, having won a 6 year long lawsuit with our local ministry of tourism , and it’s subdivisions , have a little bit more faith in the David vs Goliath law cases.
The above mentioned paragraph implies, in my opinion, which is not professional, that if the game is not working, its not working and that’s all. But in my case the game works for everybody, just not for me. I view that as a personal discrimination , but as you pointed out, it’s most likely not gonna work out in my favour .
Anyhow, i did contact a law firm that might be interested in taking my case (my money) , so i’ll see what they think about it.
Thanks for the reply, it seems there are not only “trolls” in those forums, as i was expecting.
So you took it personal. The CS staff were professional in their responses? If not, you can quote them (without mentioning names). Remember, CS does not fix bugs and generally can only advice you to report bugs directly to QA/Devs. These will be prioritised based on problems. Current day expansion problems will be fixed first - like certain Delves at the moment are.
Which is disproven as is mentioned by another under “Limited Warranty”.
The above mentioned paragraph is made by serious professional lawyers.
You said you view it as “personal discrimination” which is unproven, and is also not exactly provable with the law in mind. This concerns a “transmog that is bugged”. Nowhere does it say that “real life person that players toon A shall have its transmog B bugged on purpose to exclude them from transmogging”.
It is likely, to be bugged for everyone and as you know, not going to work out in your favour.
As a person who is on the forums since eons, I’ve seen my fair share of “court threats”. What I’m saying is, I have yet to see one actual court case (excluding the worker’s comp case, that is a good cause!) from consumers (players) go to court and/or reach a verdict. I haven’t even heard of arbitration too either.
I always recommend them if they do either, starting or reaching any verdict to create a reddit thread/make a thread here again and inform us of it so I can archive the results for future advice but none has returned to me yet.
I am not the kind of person that sits/writes in forums as a hobby, as you can probably see, ive had this account from some 17-18 years long years, and that’s in my memory the first thread i start.
Yes, the customer support staff was the reason why this got under my skin, as it took me about 2 weeks and more than 15 replies to get a straight forward answer. All before that was generic literally copy pasted answers from forums, which had zero actual information. The 4rth person that replied actually took the time to explain to me that game is bugged and they can’t help me. They did not used foul language, but there’s more to it than just pretty words.
I could not find anywhere on the forums people with the same problem, the customer support confirmed that that’s a rare case and they haven’t seen it before. All the people in the game that i have contact with do not have this problem, therefore it seems it’s limited to me.
If i buy another account/game/game-time and the new account does NOT have this problem, does that qualify for gambling? I have to buy multiple copies of the same product and see which ones offers more?
All i did was to ask here on the forum if anyone faced similar difficulties and what’s their experience with them, as i am well aware that lawsuit threats are a childish approach, but filing the lawsuit itself is not.
As you can most likely see, it’s not about the in-game problems i have, but the “you can’t touch me” attitude , which in my eyes is something really bothering . As i previously said in this post, i am no stranger to seemingly lost cases, even with my government, as i do not believe sitting and accepting everything is the right approach .
