I am not sure what happened recently, but something is utterly broken.
I have not been able to play the last 2 events (6 hours) of STV because my friends are all being layer hopped like musical chairs. This is arguably the best/most PvP even Blizzard has ever created. Far above any BG or battle zone, even with the lag. However the layering is severely crippling the event.
I have no doubt Blizzard is looking into this, however this really needs to be way up on the priority list of fixes.
PS: Thank you for SoD, it’s the best Blizzard product i’ve played in a long time.

People in my party keep getting randomly layered at weird times.
same here for the last 2 events, forced away from party members before and during, no matter how much reinving relogging or regouping we do. has made it unpalyable im getting 0 bloods solo and the gameplay of solo is just frustrating and anoying. made me quit halfway through my last event.
People joining or leaving party will just randomly split every party member to different layers. Enslaving demon to another warlock will probably too make person “join” your group and layer the whole party randomly etc.
yes that is incredibly frustrating. Met with a group of 5 prior to the event. Went together to Stranglethorn. Event starts, suddenly 3 group members dissapear. The whole group is scattered across 3 layers. Tried going to Duskwood and back in, layer changes, but layer changed to different layer for the others as well. During the 30 min event, I was on the same layer with max 1 other party member. Want blood coins as refund.
No idea what happened to layering. But im not going back there until fixed

They tried tweaking stuff to get it under control but seems like something went wrong, they are working on it.

Gathered in STV 20 minutes before the start. Once the event has started my party members phased out and we were unable to see each other until the end. Please fix it, in its current state the event is unplayable.
Same. Last event was a total disaster. Getting layered mid fight. With only 100/150 blood solo (joined 3 groups but layered everywhere), i get better rep / hour doing Arathi. Byebye until it’s fixed.
3rd event now (9 hours worth of play time). Again I am layered away from my team. This layering thing is really tarnishing what is otherwise an amazing expereince.
Working like intended, blood moon is FFA, grouping not allowed.

Unfortunately, the developers and engineers at Blizzard are unable to properly implement the so-called layer.
It’s just a disaster and a mess, nothing has been learned from P1

Truth, the layering sux hard
you build an team of 5 ppl and everyone plays for himself on 5 different layers
then you finally get your team in 1 layer, after something like 15 min and 5 min later, in the middle of combat I switch layer for no reason again 
Meanwhile the question of having fun while Eve is not your setup, or your guild mates just
can you deal same layer? lol
