Blizzard. It has been FOUR MONTHS since you locked and layered our servers. Is there anyone “in charge” at all over there or has Activision removed so many of your staff members that you can’t make any calls any more.
It’s so incredibly obvious what needs to be done that it’s approaching “disgraceful” for how little you seem to care about server longevity.
I can’t even remember what it’s like to play a cohesive world. Many of my friends have quit over the layering. Stop treating EU like NA. We do NOT WANT LAYERING.
It ruins every and any feeling of cohesion in the world. Get rid of it.
And stop bringing it back.
Ion said “we intend to use sharding in a very limited form for the first few weeks”, and yet here we are. I am in absolute awe of how little you care about your own ethos towards the game that made you as a company.
EDIT: I want to add to this post that I have ALWAYS been happy to wait in a queue. At the beginning, there were 4-6 hour queues for this server, and do you know what? You just sat in queue and did irl things. The type of people that adopt the baby-ish “I DON’T PAY TO SIT IN A QUEUE” attitude have clearly never been out to a shop, concert or anything fun in real life.
Out of everything wrong with classic WoW at the moment (batching, layering, bugs, obviously untested AQ40 mechanics, leeway) the most screaming one is layering. Get. Rid of it.

Pip-point of your text is “Stop treating EU like NA” I’m pretty sure that whats happening and what happened is 90% bcse of NA playerbase and since they are superior nation than it also applies to rest of the world
