I thought Blizzard where looking for a new company to deal with this. A new company to host their servers with less severe terms than netease… Then all news about it just stopped.

I heard a rumour that “That Retarded Horse”, as it was called by TotalBiscuit, made Blizzard more money than StarCraft 2.

That is why they do this.

And I hate it.

I don’t know what’s happening on that front, but it is true that Blizzard no longer has any CN servers. All Chinese players now play on the TW or US regions, mostly TW. This has resulted in the TW servers going from low-medium to all being full-locked xD

It’s been pretty okay on TW actually. But there’s a lot of simplified mixed with traditional Chinese now, which is a little weird.

They are Chinese themed because it’s for the Chinese New Year. For years we never got access to their rewards. Then they started adding them to the shop so that EU players had the option to at least buy them if they wanted to.

It’s from the Six month sub where they gave out the water rabbit. They basically gave who bought it the pet already and for those who didn’t they gave the option to buy it.
That’s from what i’ve seen though.

I know, 2024 is. I was sad to see it wasn’t a dragon mount and just a rabbit pet. That’s so 2023!!!
