As physical damage dealers (casters excluded), do you feel any difference when killing someone wearing leather vs killing someone wearing plate ?
I personally do, at times is harder to kill a druid in bear than it is to kill a warrior wearing plate. (Not including paladins, they deal some spell damage and is rare I find one AFK to kill) - I guess question goes mainly towards rogues, hunters and other warriors.
As a feral player myself “mainly bear” i actually struggle the most with Warlocks due to constant life drain.
Outside of that armor doesn’t really matter much in the long run as fights are so short that it matters very little.
With that being said, Paladins are prob what i struggle with the most second to Warlocks, and that comes down to shields/armor extending the fight.
Hence also why Bear tanks are so solid in pvp atm, due to us running a flat 20% dmg reduction together with barkskin “another 20% on demand” and then followed by last stand 30% hp for 20 seconds, and improved frenzied regen, which heals us to full hp over 10 seconds.
Fully buffed i have around 10k hp with cds, and can heal the same amount, so you gotta deal 20k dmg before i kill you. which is rough for most classes
Tldr: Leather vs Plate doesn’t matter much outside of bears and Paladins “thx to their defensives”
I’ve met skilled malee players, I think the armor is fine, but in bgs 90% of cases it won’t matter because the casters will nuke you with 2 spells. But if we only talking about the malee characters, I think it’s fine, except multilate.
The blows of other classes can be handled quite well with a paladin if devo aura is up, but rouges can kill me with 2-3 multilates if i have no cds to use.
I think a good rouge kills every classes easily at the moment, maybe the exception is demon lock and a good frost mage with the multiple blinks+df.
Warriors need a rune that causes a percentage of armour to also protect from magic abilities.
Rogues using mutilate feels like I’m wearing cloth.

Being a warrior, i can tell a huge difference.
When i have plate i can survive twice as long, about 2.3 seconds

warriors are a joke in pvp, every class mitigates plate, rogue kills you in one cs->ks, average spriest, lock, mage, ele, bala TTS is around 4-5s, literally i gave up on pvp on my war, gonna level an undead rogue for that

Of course, if he can move and have a chance to hit the enemy, maybe if he opens, the problem is that many classes are exaggerated. Let’s take mage as an example, a good skilled frost mage can turn any malee character into a clown with the vanilla toolkit+fof+lance. But now he has also received displacement, with male characters there will be no chance to reach a skilled mage.
I love this meme, it’s still hot, since p1

A bear druid critted me for 700 damage last night, while I was rage starved due to his high armour. How am I supposed to counter that?
Armor doesn’t work here, it’s just names like armor, plate, mail, leather and cloth.
phase 2
Exorcism damage to warrior ~400 (non crit)
Exorcism damage to warlock metaform 300 crit
As a practicing feral druid, I sometimes find myself lacking in armor penetration.
My rogue buddy did 700 crit with his gun stun
Even my hunter’s Core Hound pet crit 1019 dmg (on BM spec to be fair)
So to be honest, 700 dmg from a feral seems like average to any other class besides arms warriors, unless you count those rare landing executes with full rage bar.
