Leaving M+ instances and solution BLIZZ READ

Hello this is really serious problem, I expect someone from blizzard will share their point of view. Heres my take.

Introduction

I am coming back after some time and what I see is horrible.
I am playing prot war, 512ilvl atm.
I wasnt playing Dragonflight very much.
But when I preorder War Within, I started playing. Mostly just practicing.
Playing with UI, getting keybinds into muscle memory, so I am fit day one.
I am able to do +10s with solid group.

Current state of the game

Snowflakes expect easy life. When LFG heroic dungeons or LFG raid finder drops and rewards was no longer upgrade for me, I still did not get accepted to M groups.
Lets do some heroics farm just for crests. Upgrade gear.
Well, I did 2 weeks of all M0 dungeons, I had to do my own parties all the time ofc.
Then I started to do some lower level keys. Yeah.

What I experience:

  • People dont name their groups properly.
Fast run 8k main = trash in greens expect carry
Progress/Completion group tag never seen (extremely rare)
  • All the time someone screaming to go lightning fast, pull everything.
If you want, play tank. Or leave it to him. I pull what i am comfortable to.
I prefer smaller groups and steady go. Still was able to finish runs ++ or +++.
All this gogogo do is creating problems, they even start pulling infront and wipe ofc.
  • People watching DPS meters, do not watch aggro, do not watch they standing
in fire or being targeted by some ugly frontal. Then they die and scream
how much trash lowest dps is. Same for tank and heal ofc.
  • PEOPLE LEAVE - this is the worst problem, people leave all the time.
Do mistakes, talk trash, pull everything, wipe, scream and leave.

This isnt supposed to be like this.
I guess we all have to admit that this behavior exist and if anywhere, its place is LFG.

This is the point where the game is getting serious and should be taken seriously.
Rated Arenas, Rated Battlegrounds, Mythic+ dungeons, Raids.
All that sweet very-endgame stuff should be treated as bond and with respect.

NO THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS “RIGHT TO LEAVE”
In many other games youre punished for leaving others.
Specifically in M+, there should be 2 timers, one challenging (this is the existing one)
For our example its 40 minutes.
And then there should be second, like x1,5, for our example 60 minutes “completion” timer.
After this one, you are free to leave, if dungeon still not completed.
But until, leaving should result in hard punishment.
Like 4 hours lock for ANY mythic instance. Something that makes you think twice.
Leaving should be hard punished
I would also implement some reputation system.
After either completion or second timer runs out,
imagine pop up window where you can commend or report everyone in grp.
4 other names, green and red buttons, thats it.
Reputation should be visible all the time, whenever you inspect someone,
you can get coarse idea of what they behave like.
After inserting a key, there should be also some hard coded ready check, where you see a pop up, where is like all 5 people Name, Class and Spec, iLvl, rio score, behavior score. Confirm or Leave buttons.
After all 5 players confirm, there is no leaving.
If someone decide this is not party I want to go with, this is last chance to leave and replace, before timer starts.

In raids, I can imagine something like “VOTE DONE” pop up window callable lets say after one hour minimum.
In BGs maybe something like “VOTE SURRENDER” after some time passed.

That is a very good way to kill M+. Well done.

Before forming your own opinion about something you should read get some basic knowledge of what you are talking about and also read some other peoples opinions first.

Cant have 8k io score right now.

I know you cant. Its exaggeration.
Feels like they can, full green samurai top dps wanting 510 tank for +2.

Pugging gives convenience - this comes with the trade off that things can go wrong.

So lose convenience and make friends / be more picky with groups but systems can only do so much before they become ‘worse’ than the problem they are attempting to fix.

In short, garbage idea.

Well I still think more ppl will welcome something like this than not.
At least ppl who want to play.
For sure not those who are there just get carried or to turn others red.
LMAO. 8/10 pug groups someone leave.
How can anyone advocate for this? Tell me.

What?
I have runned my shaman up to +12 this season while pugging and i havent met ANY leaver. Are you trolling your groups or something?

Youre talking rubbish with your assertion that 80% of grouos have leavers.

Hard to have a proper discussion with drivel like that as the foundation.

Indeed, and you, the player are entitled to punish others for leaving your group. You do this by putting them on your ignore list and not playing with them again.

Simple.

Well in that case I need infinite ignore list.
Right now I ran 3 dungeons. One failed again, even before first boss leaver.
Other two we timed.

Weird, thats not 80%.

Even if its just 1/3 its still a huge problem.
Instead of thinking about actual thing… grab one by word

This is a guy that left a +12 brackenhide.

Should he be punished?

no 1 really u friend online even u tink it so yes make group need be picky indeed not too picky but not low keys

Sorry I don’t understand what you said.

mean i sey u right about picky pug

Depends on how egregious that warlock is.

If its completely obvious hes not pulling his weight at all skillwise or dpswise so its clear as day he just wanted to get boosted by fooling people in to his key and then taking advantage of the fact that they wont leave cause its an m+ key etc.

Actual orc irl typing your forum post

tink typ it clear eugh cant read it you problem so yes but go on snark littel game if u want before u go grammer police on me pls spare u self time

cant typ all good english so yes but pls go on all ears wat u heve sey so boring as ever

After inserting a key, there should be also some hard coded ready check, where you see a pop up, where is like all 5 people Name, Class and Spec, iLvl, rio score, behavior score. Confirm or Leave buttons.

This also prevents green people from tricking people into keys, unless its properly marked as progression/help.

This also prevents those “go ultrafast or ima out” guys.

This also prevents those egoist “stf i know best. i can just leave and you all get nothing”
The list goes on.

I dont see negatives.
Say there will be much less players willing to sign that deal, less players in M+ overall?
Less who? Less noobs, leavers, griefers, trickers, liars and so on? SO WHAT?
You all who recommended to find guild/friends/be picky?
Picky with what? Using what guide? RIO score really doesnt tell about how
emotionally low that guy really is.
So some player-input based reputation could be lovely.
And all of you that give me this advice, i bet you play with those. Friends.
So who you will be missing, if those noobs are 4 hours gone?
I would ban them for 2 days but community never accept so hard boom.
4 hours seems optimal.
Not that low that “Ok ima gonna cook some food and then ruin another grp.”
But not that high. Just go play another game, calm yourself.
Or do some dailys alone.
