Please buff Leech. It should be 1% per 500 Leech, not like 1050 per 1%.
As a resto shaman I have 2% Leech at level 80. I’m using the Cloak and Wrist enchant (new one) and I have Leech on a 584 item too. 2019 Leech is less than 2% at 1.98%.
I think you need to change it to 1% per 500. That seems like a much more resonable number. Right now, it’s doing barely anything as a healer in Dungeons, like 0.9% of my total healing.
I did 702,106 HPS on the first boss on Heroic, and it only did 1%. Whilst I’m aware I need to take damage for it to heal me, I was healing myself much, my point is 2% isn’t flat 2% more healing or whatever, as a stat for healers it WAS really strong, now it seems utterly useless, especially considering the rarety of the stat on gear.
My 584 trinket is 489 Leech, so like 0.4%. I may be wrong, but it seems much less than DF.
Meanwhile speed on my 600ilvl belt 536, is over 3.15%, which seems right.
They very intentionally nerfed it so they wouldn’t have to increase raid damage.
I think it’s for the best. You will get more use from run speed enchants or stamina enchants that might actually save your life.
The OP stat was Avoidance. But yeah, I agree with blizzard on this one.
It was ridiculous that if you got lucky with gear and had a lot of avoidance you were immortal. And if you did not get lucky you got 1-shot.
Same with leech I suppose. I remember my arms warrior with 20% leech and I too was immortal…
Nah… a 1% bonus is fine. You know what they should buff ? Speed. In MoP Remix it was so cool to have 40% speed, it felt better to play your toon and speed dosent give any significant advantage.
Did you see the video ? It mentions healers and shamans in particular.
And mentions “classes that are tanky become immortal, for example Ret palas”.
Avoidance is Bis… ultra bis in M+. Dont know now that it was nerfed, but in DF at-least… it was so bis.
Sure. Avoidance dosent increase “HPS” that’s for sure. But neither does a devotion aura of an HPala or Mark of the wild of druid. But -4.5% DR of both is really noticeable in raids.
Im basing my opinion on being a 3500 io M+ Healer. And Avoidance used to be in DF ultra mega BiS. It would save you from being 1-shot, and with out it some classes like Shaman and Boomie had ZERO chance of doing anything beyond an 18+ (in S4) or a +28 (in S2 and S3).
I dont raid Mythic. But I know many people that do. And for certain bosses like Razagesh, Rashok and others they stacked avoidance because it meant that they could have a -20% DR on the big AoE “stomps” the bosses did and save their personal defensives for the single target nukes.
So if the whole raid receives -20% damage on 1 particular AoE mechanic, that is a LOT of HPS right there. Its just that its invisible because it dosent show in the recounts. But I will not insist too much on this because I dont raid Mythic.
And then, after all that I showed you 1 video of someone else agreeing with me. So no. Im not basing my opinion on 1 video…
What are you basing your opinion on ? What you read in WoWHead ?
Raids had slightly different stat priorities with tertiary stats. I know that for Holy paladins in particular leech was more important stat than other secondaries simply because the leech effect triple dipped with some of their healing abilities (I think it was beacon healing on top of Glimmer). This was around S3 of DF but I think even now leech is a strong bonus stat for them.
Avoidance was good for DPS but leech basically meant you did not have to focus heal yourself as it added so much HPS. On my Mistweaver in S3 I averaged somewhere around 15K HPS (numbers varied between 12K to 18K) which around the time was about as strong as the best HPS trinkets at the time.
In Mplus it is understandable that avoidance was king, as you had to use it to survive specific damage instances. This does not strictly apply to mythic raids where some healers get more mileage out of leech over avoidance. You are not reliant on avoidance there to survive mechanics.
