I don’t know if you are familiar with AION or not, but they demolished whole maps, worlds, zones as part of the story… and surpsingly, it worked!

Only viable gold making is picking/crafting stuff needed for raids - flask, pot, runes, codex, etc. OR boosting.
Wait how much gold are you getting from the tables? I don’t feel like its a lot (but thats mostly because I remember legion/bfa numbers)

If you feel like farming old raids 10h a day whole week then yes, old raids would give significantly larger amount of gold, but who does this. Even doing all MoP, WoD and Legion raids on a single char every week gets old fast, while doing callings on several chars is no problem at all, add to that paragon gold and free gold from missions, that adds up to 25k a week on one char with minimum effort.
Also, what about having to vendor hundreds of worthless purples from old raids now.
I think you should look up who runs activision and why they’re so obsessed with getting as much money out of the cash cows that play this game.
It is a free money printer.

Not to the same extent as Mission Tables and World Quests contribute to inflation.
Current inflation was caused by WoD and Legion Mission tables, when people were genarating THOUSANDS of gold a day out of thin air. It wasn’t caused by Old Raids.

Botting is profitable because before Blizzard ban you you will earn gold for 5more accounts.

Of Ofcourse they don’t want it to be easly achieved. They want us to buy tokens for gold instead.
They couldn’t beat the goldsellers so they joined them.
I think the change was aimed at bots, but just like the multiboxing broadcasting change bots will carry on regardless.
It sucks.
Does this also apply to quest rewards?
The nerf applies to all items below 75 ilvl. Old raids, dungeons, quests, random drops, crafting, etc. As for bots, they mostly farm grey items, so this dont really affect them much. Now grey item is more valuable than normal gear item.

bots rarely if ever farm raids. They farm open world content.

The problem is that people who decided to kill the old content are entirely different people from those who built it. If they were the same people, we’d have a much better game.
EDIT: it’s not necessarily old Blizzard vs. current Blizzard - new Blizzard built everything since Cataclysm, which is now considered old as well.

i think this may have been my fault. I’ve played since vanilla but haven’t had a sub since pandaria so i was restricted to playing on freeplay accounts. When that changed with the squish my freeplay toon farmed enough mats over the space of a few months to sell on the AH and buy…wait for it…7 game tokens, yep 7 game tokens in the space of a few months. They ranged in price from 150000g to 200000g and i bought seven of them in a few months all on a trial account toon. The way i did it was to get to bfa and farm mats for proffs and vendor them but i couldn’t do this immediatley because of the 1000g limit on trial accounts so i filled my bank with mats on several toons and when i had enough i used a free weekend to log in and sell all my stuff to vendors and the AH. The squsi for trial accounts was fantastic, it opened up SL for me with an epic exp. Now i get free game time and a free expansion. But its all changed now, the price of stuff has plummeted so i don’t know if i’ll be able to earn enough each month for a game token, we’ll see. But i’m pretty sure this nerf was all my fault so im sorry about that.
I cannot play game because my mail box is full of items that are worth nothing and I cannot sell them.
And probably reduce the bot interest
