Legacy Dungeon will not switch to Mythic

I’ve been trying to get some achievements while hunting the Elders in the Northrend dungeons, but despite changing the dungeon difficulty to Mythic, it doesn’t put the difficulty any higher than Heroic. What am I doing wrong?

  • I am solo (no party)
  • I’ve changed the difficulty via my character portrait before going into the dungeon. When it jumps back to Heroic, I exit the dungeon, change it back again, go back in… and goes back to Heroic again.
  • Some dungeons I have completed before, some not. (Not sure if that matters).

There is no mythic in content below Mists of Pandaria, Heroic used to be the highest difficulity before it was renamed Mythic at the end of MoP where we got the third mode called flex mode (now renamed to Normal mode).

Small correction to this. This is for the raids. For dungeons, mythic mode was added in Warlords of Draenor.

Mythic dungeon was introduced in late WOD i think or in the middle of wod i dont remember exactly :smiley:
