Legacy raid scaling

So what’s the deal with legacy raid bosses and mobs suddenly taking 10 times longer to kill?
Currently doing Firelands and for some reason every single boss takes way longer to kill than they did before the 30th anniversary patch.
Is it just the whack scaling that for some odd reason affects legacy raids? Will it be fixed?
If not I might just give up on the pureblood fire hawk. Not really interested in spending what ends up being at least 1hr extra because of some arbitrary scaling in the hopes that the 1.7% chance finally kicks in.

I just did a Dragon Soul run on my level 60 Mage. 25 Hc and it felt more or less the same as usual. A few bosses might have taken an extra couple of hits but not so much to bother me.

Could this be a thing for those raids that have Timewalking versions?
I read someone else had similar issues in Black Temple.

As far as I know there is no Timewalking version of Dragon Soul but both Firelands and Black Temple were scaled for some Timewalking events (Demon Hunters in BT can get their Azinoth mogs).

Maybe it’s because you are lvl 60?

I did Black Temple on my DH lvl 80 this week and I one shotted everything.

I am not. I did it on a lvl 80 char with over 600 ilvl and it still took multiple hits to down bosses.
besides, even before the patch lvl 60 chars could 1 shot these bosses easily.

I am sitting at close to 600 ilvl nearly and I am doing firelands for the Legendary questline, and the scaling is the same for me, I’m spamming like 20+ something smite attacks on bosses and it’s tickling them lol.

My only guess is the new scaling for timewalking and the event has caused older raids scaling to be wonky. I am doing this on my disc priest but spec shouldn’t matter for legacy.

I hope it goes after the event is gone as it’s really annoying. I will also do some more recent raids like CN from SL and the BFA raids to see if it affects them to or it’s just older ones like cataclysm.

But I am glad I’m not the only one I thought I was going CRAZY lmao.

Do me a favour if and when you can/get a chance. Go into firelands heroic/normal doesn’t matter and see if you still one shot everything. It would be interesting to see if this issue extends for others or is just a few unique cases.

What is the damage output like though? Is it a case of the bosses having high health but low damage, or is their damage output also pretty high?

Bosses taking alot less damage than they used to, for example my PTW used to one shot most things and 2 shot bosses, but now it takes like 30+ of them it’s stupid lol. There like bullet sponges.

So I went to test HC Firelands, I’m not sure how much increased damage are they supposed to take (from my experience they take around 50% more), but I can confirm that Eye Beam + Blade Dance was enough to kill all of them in less than 2 seconds.
