Been on Gehennas since day 1 minute 1, not really played this version of classic since Wotlk but decided to level to 90 recently.
Now all this bs about servers, I don’t understand what’s happening. Suddenly Gehennas is a PvE server and there are no PvP servers? What? It’s also now a “legacy” server - what? There are new servers called “active” - what? What makes them “active” as opposed to the FULL “legacy” servers? People are transferring off of Gehennas - why? To where? Why are there two servers called Everlook? Wtf?
If i was a new player i’d legit pick Auberdine because thats the best sounding name of all the realms on the list but i wouldnt understand sht since im not french

If you are on Gehennas, you go to Garalon for free or stay on Gehennas.
Because we cant have enough of Everlook so we got another one. (jokes aside, one of them is supposed to be Ook Ook as far as im aware)
I’d rather not start a wow politics war again on the forums but here is the tldr:
PvP server tag died long ago. World PvP is very very niche thing. PvP realms have become monofaction realms which basically meant they became PvE realms. It is what it is.
yeah blizz are doing a thing consolidating the servers together so they made new ones that connect to mirage and each other and a few language servers too on the side i guess
why idk, anyway the old servers you are familiar with are slowly going to dwindle and perish so everyone has free transfers, to make it simple you have only one choice of where to transfer to so you dont need to think about where to go
dont worry about everlook, pretend they dont exist
as far as i know theres no time limit to transfer, probs free transfer up forever, they really dropped the ball, its very rushed and strange and they didnt do a good job of informing people, like 1/3rd of players just dont even know its happening until they ask in trade or whatever
you can take everything and up to like 50k gold per char and bank, you cant take guild or guild bank, you cant take wow tokens

1 DE PVE Server -----> 1 Mainserver & 1 Layered-Subserver (Main: Everlook)
1 RU PVE Server -----> 1 Mainserver (Main and only left: Plamegor = Flamegore)
1 FR PVE Server -----> 1 Mainserver (Main and only left: Auberdine)
1 ES Server -----> ‘frozen’, ES players are forced to go to EU-EN, MirageRaceway, until now, at least for free. Is there ‘Legacy’ to ‘Active’ cross Region-paid-Realmtransfer available?
Hoptalus, Shek’zeer, Norushen, Garalon, lol i did memorize all 4 Realms
= just described 4 Sublayerservers of MirageRaceway.
The Subserversystem is not only about name changing so it seems, costs, for Blizzard, Database-Management-Easiness (my 2 hypotheses) but it was the way to preserve names for those who did transfer fast enough also. Until some did use paid name change to change their transferred chars’ names on new Sublayered-Realms, so it seems. No one did state that they have been doing it. But the name change services were not blocked, while Char-Creation was blocked until this saturday from wednesday last week. ‘Active’ Realms were flagged ‘locked’.
For GER section they did create an odd sounding Ook Ook-Server for Everlook as a submerged server, appearing as the the bottom duplicate named Everlook in the Realmlist, i guess Population decides for the listing position. In the Shop menu, free of charge Transfers for chars even lvl 1 from ‘Legacy’ servers to ‘Active’ ones, is a different name displayed, ‘Ook Ook’. Any former Region-derived-Server (now all ‘Legacy’) has only 1 target Realm to be free of charge transferred to from now on, for an eternity if not changed.
This and 1-2 other Posts have been unpinned just 2-3 Days ago from EU-EN Blue-Thread-Board on Top of this forum, keep them in mind for most accurate Information.
