Do we NEED a profession to get a SL legendary? I heard you can buy it from the AH and add it to your memory at the Runecarver, but what about when you need to upgrade your legendary to higher ilvl? do you need to fork out more gold to buy it from the AH?
If so, is this how things are now? buy a WoW token for £15 from Blizzard, put it on the AH for gold, use gold to buy a legendary… Seems fishy to me
Ah, thanks for the confirmation. It doesn’t matter whether or not I have the gold, I just think it’s a dumb system in an MMORPG to have to BUY legendaries.
Then say if I want a legendary for Mythic+ and I need a certain profession to craft it, then say if I need one for raiding and I need another profession to craft that, and what about one for PvP, I’ll need to delete my profession just to craft that one too, or if I want to try other legendary combos out for different styles of content like Torghast and stuff?
It is a way better system than Legion for example. There is basically no luck involved (atleast on a very minimal level) and you can actually target legendaries. If you are not willing to make gold for them or craft them, you dont need them
If you need something, you work for it
Relying on luck is the worst thing ever that happened in Legion with titanforging, legendaries and in bfa with corruptions.
Off other players, basically - far more useful than a 5 million gold sink.
What it does is encourage the economy by giving players reasons to exchange large amounts of money. Everyone wants at least one legendary. They are hard to make, ergo players value them highly. People with no money would do well to pick up crafting; people with plenty of money will end up spreading theirs around a bit.
