It’s because once you get the legendary cloak to rank 6 (?) it has an on-use affect. Quite annoying though, but goblin gliders are pretty cheap if you’re willing to spare up a bag slot or two.

It has 1 minute extra cooldown, which actually led to my death in wpvp already. They probably didn’t think it through, but there are solutions for it.
Just annoyed from all the dying of failing rocket boots shooting me into the air without parachute. But I totally forgot about the goblin glider consumable item, thanks!

Thats why I switched to alchemy, 1m faster cd, goes faster and can’t fail. The only downside is materials.
Its just Blizzards way of slowly taking away profession uniqueness from everything that isnt Herbalism/Alchemy.
Enchants on every slot? GONE. Blacksmiths can make sockets? POOF. Engineers can use tinkers? GET IT FROM A RAID. Determenistic gemslots? X-FORGING. Alchemy is the only profession that matters

I never added the Goblin Glider to my cloak, I always used the Flexweave Underlay parachute. So I would have the option of using that or the Goblin Glider Kit, depending on the situation. Now I can only use the kit.
And now I only use my Nitro Boost while indoors. Being slammed into the ceiling doesn’t hurt and the fall won’t kill me if it all goes wrong.

Why is everyone praising Alchemy? What’s so hot about it?
I’m pretty sure they just forgot that there is a profession called engineering in the game.

Wouldn’t say pissed but I’m not happy about it… luckily the dragonscale trinket has a slowfall or I would’ve died many times already

Sick and tired of this as well, and i am getting very tired of Blizzard totally destroying the engi prof. They have gotten lazy…
Engineers complaining about losing toys that must be a joke.
Engineering that gets all the things.
We did get the teleport toys for Zandalar and KT at least. Engi best profession.

extremely pissed. after all that work to get the cloak on multiple characters only to find out that I can’t put the bloody tinker on it? and the excuse is because if you level it high enough (which most of my characters won’t) you get an on use ability…
so why not let us use the tinker before then? or decide whether we want the tinker instead? or have the cloak grant an extra spell instead of using an on use ability?
I went to farm WoD stuff for like one hour and I probably have enough goblin gliders for the rest of bfa now. Just make the normal gliders.
They are also a bit more expensive on the AH now so I made a bit of gold with it even 
yep it’s pretty annoying, it’s almost as if they forgot engineers had a cloak “on use enchant” when they put the on use effect on the cloak.

there really needs to be some solution to this, surely shouldn’t be too difficult. maybe let engineers make a glider toy to use instead of the cloak

And another alt friendly system, its not like I’m going to level my cloaks up on all my engineering alts, or any alt at all -.-
Then dont wear it?
Also there are two trinkets~ mechagon trinket with parachute (blue punchcard) and wrathion trinket with active slow fall. First-one is kinda easy to farm. Mechagon trinket is a best alt-friendly item anyway!
