Legendary Quest Bugged!

Hello, I’m writing here in the hope of receiving a timely solution to my problem. I have an issue with the Legendary Quest in WoW.

I have successfully completed the quest “To the Test: Symbiotic Glowspore Grip.” I received the epic item (Attuned Glowspore Grip) and used it. However, I did not receive the legendary item (https://www.wowhead.com/spell=429135/symbiotic-glowspore-grip). Therefore, I am stuck on the last quest before the scenario.

I have only received two responses to my two tickets since February 24, 2024, and neither of them is remotely satisfactory. The essence of the first response was: “Everything is as it should be.” My problem was simply not addressed.

The second response included the following request translated by Google (No, the grammar errors are not from me; I actually received the message like this): “Thank you for your message. :smiley: Can you please try these steps: 1. Enter the proving grounds from your garrison by talking to your NPC at the mission table. 2. Start each trial by talking to the trial master. Stay next to him. 3. Activate the element to start the channel. 4. Speak to the NPC after a few ticks to finish the trial. This will stun you and make you immune while the debuff persists, and your full health will be restored when the debuff ends. 6. Rinse and repeat until the process is complete. Starting the trial also resets the item CD.”

Once again, my actual problem was not addressed, and I received a generic response. I have repeatedly requested to speak directly with a GM to quickly resolve the issue, but each of these requests has been ignored.

At this point, I don’t know what else to do. I have clearly explained what the problem is. Instead of simply sending me the item or resetting the quest, I receive responses that do not remotely relate to my issue. I can understand delays due to insufficient staff or other reasons. However, if the responses are similarly senseless for other players, it’s no wonder tickets remain open for an extended period. This cannot continue, and I urgently request assistance once again.

Those 2 replies are not from actual individuals, but machine learning responses based upon keywords taken from the ticket you submitted.

I’d recommend check out YouTube and even using Google to see if anyone else has had a similar issue and were able to fix it themselves.

You will need to keep submitting tickets until you receive an actual reply from a Game Master, which will be US timeframe, as all EU customer support is pretty much gone, as the Cork office is being shut down and almost all employees there are being laid off.

So keep trying and hopefully you may get an answer from them.

It’s better not to keep starting new tickets. It’s better to escalate an existing ticket so it goes up the chain, instead of starting over all the time.

Ofc if the option isn’t available to say you still have an issue then you have no choice but to open a new ticket.

True, I should have mentioned the escalation, but of course that if they’ve not already closed the tickets.

It’s a frustrating situation to be in when a quest/item is bugged and you don’t know what to do, you’ve tried everything from a common sense stand points, abandoned it, picked it up back etc etc.

From a GMs standpoint it’s also frustrating for them in the sense that these kind of things were never found by the QA teams, who look for and point it to the developers as to a possible bug that can happen. However, sometimes really random and rare bugs do get through, which only impacted a very small number of people globally.

So this could be the case for you, where no one else may have had this problem. It could be factor of many things from a possible quest you had, which is blocking a stage of the quest to trigger, to an item you have to a random bug, which has locked out your account to trigger that event within the quest process.

So if there is indeed no sign of any information anywhere on youtube/google/wowhead, then indeed get it forward and hopefully into the hands of a GMs, so they can review their reports and any ongoing bug reports for this quest/item. If they do not have a solution, then it means you will need to be patient, while they get it forwarded through their channels to get it reviewed by one of the developers, who will then have to forward it to QA to be tested to see if they can recreate the bug to find out what is causing it.

Hopefully you will be able to get this quest completed and your weapon obtained before Season 4 begins.
