So when you kill Fyrakk and get the bad luck protection thing how many do you need before you will get the weapon on a drop?
I mean how many you need if you only do raid finder every week and no other difficulties?

If you do only LFR, it’s not a question of bad luck protection in that case, only of luck.
If I recall correctly, Heroic was the only mode making a difference for the bad luck protection, I never did another Fyrakk HM after dropping mine so 7 Heroic run (I consider myself lucky).
Oh so these bad luck protection things you get at the end of fyrakk kill on lfr don’t actually work to get the legendary in lfr. I probably have to move onto normal or HC then?
This is how it works:
Think of it like this, there are 4 dice total, each dice can only be used once each. One for each difficulty; LFR, normal, HC, mythic. Each die got different values, think of LFR as d20, normal as a D12, HC as D6 and mythic as a D3. When you do a difficulty above, you take the dice from the lower pools as well. So if you do mythic, you cast all the 4 dice in one go, aiming for a 1.
You can go 1 by 1 upwards, casting the D20, then the D12, then the D6 and finally the D3. But it will be a lot faster for you to just do all of them in one go.
BLP, is kinda like a dice you get for trying that week and not getting it. Helping you the next week. The dealer looks at you, thanks you for trying, and asks you to try again next week and to bring this new die.
You want to do HC at least - mythic if you can. A single mythic run is worth weeks of HC. HC is worth weeks of normal. So on and on.
For numbers for the guarenteed:
If I remember correctly, HC is 15 kills, or 16 weeks.
Mythic is 5 kills, or 6 weeks.
Normal and LFR, and the small BLP drops, doesn’t matter very much. Especially this late in the season and near the end.
The BLP-things do improve the odds, but the base odds are pathetically low for LfR (Yet another feeble attempt to make LfR-raiders “Step up”), i’d even go so far as to say that if you don’t have Fyr’alath at this point, don’t bother, in a month and a half we’ll go into the new expansion, and it will be no more than a gaudy trophy.
