Iv been searching around the net a little and have so far been a little unclear about my findings regarding the legenday armor set that was a part of shadowlands.
It was stateted by blizzard that the transmog for the legenday items would be available later,does that mean that the set would be solely obtainable from the raid “sanctum of domination” or can i now buy all the pieces,infuse them and get the set?

The “set” that the legenday items of shadowlands are a part of,the runecarving ones.
They are available, just create legendary items.
The system did not change.
The items don’t come from Sanctum btw.
So if i craft all the items i will be able to transmog their looks onto my current items?
They aren’t sets tho, just 1 legendary you can equip, or 2 if you have reputation for unity.
He means if the appereance of the legendary items are available for transmog.
Blizzard said later on they will be but they made then into mythic Sepulcher sets instead.
That is how transmog works.
If you obtain the item, for these “craftable” pieces it means crafting, you unlock the appearance.

Crafted a piece now and i dont get any transmog unlock from it,seems like only option if you want the look for transmog you need to do the raid:)

Pff,no worries. The dust is so bountifull(did some torghast for transmog weapons) and the pieces of armor are just as cheap, so iv lost nothing:)
Still hoping they’ll add the legendary transmogg “later”… would be strange if not. By now all old leggy transmoggs are available too, regardless if their “skin” is available through other sources in the game or not. Would be nice if we’d be spared the raid farming.
As someone else said, the Shadowlands legandaries’ transmog version is the Mythic sets from Sanctum of Domination. No other way to get the appearances that I know of.
It’ll be interesting to see if we can unlock them through the white items transmog when that’s added.

Wait for 10.5, if you have the normal piece to craft the leggo of sl it might unlock that appearence since we will have white and grey tmogs soon.
As of 10.0.5 you will be able to Transmog White and Grey items.
The legendary item you are talking about currently fall into the White Category.
However, I can’t see them adding these as Transmog because they are available from the Sanctum of Domination. I might be wrong, but my suspicion is that these won’t be transmogable. Blizzard haven’t commented, and it appears nobody has tested this on the PTR.
tho, i noticed 1 thing. Leather and Cloth sets are 1 the Heroic SoD set with the Mythic particles, and the other the pvp non rated with Mythic Particles. i’m fine with the plate and mail not being obtainable, but the other 2 sets are actually unique…
