Legion Dalaran Portals

The portal is gone, Activision forgot that some portals are required by some quests.

You have to teleport to Ironforge as ally, or Undercity as horde, then fly to Hillsbrad Foothills manually."

The portal for the quest should and used to spawn right behind you when quest was accepted.

There were teething troubles initially with some portals not appearing for players. Most were fixed.

Clearly some are not. Bug reports help to let them know.

He is doing a mage quest and the portal should spawn behind him that is the whole point of his OP it is for the fire mage weapon in Legion .

there are plenty of quests that require you to move around, the OP is stating his opinion that there is no reason to remove the portals, as they help move around. whatever the class

Um…

The ‘not capital city portals’ are still there. I think.

Or at least, if you’re on a Legion quest to use them they show up. I’ve used them on my artifact quests on alts.

The one in mage hall doesnt turn up since they made the portal changes i will place in a report for bug

not everyone plays a mage - he has a point in his very first response

I’ve been going through the Mage campaign and have unlocked the Teleportation Nexus. This still works, as well as the portal to Dalaran. If there are meant to be other portals in the Mage hall I’m not aware of them.

I think you need to learn the Ancient Teleport: Dalaran first to use this tome. Not sure.

But to get the Ancient Teleport: Dalaran you need to go to Scarlet Monastary (maybe Heroic only?) and defeat the final boss without letting him hit any of the bookshelves with his fire during the encounter. This may become more difficult after the level squish as I think all dungeons will become current content for level 50. If you’re doing it as current content I believe the method is to stand in the fire rather than behind the boss as intended, that way you get hit by the fire and not the books.

If you’re a high level Mage you can easily kill this boss on either difficulty. Once you’ve killed him, check the bookshelves. One of the books will be interactable and will teach you the teleport.

That is only if you choose to use Chrome Time for Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms. Outside of it, the content will scale like it does right now and allow you to one-shot.

I had read that old raids were not becoming current content, with Classic being level 30, TBC and Wrath being level 35 and so on. I wasn’t sure about dungeons.

I had read that Timewalking will be for level 50 and above so I assume from 10-49 (since under 10 is considered tutorial/baby levels) all dungeons and zones from Classic to BfA will be considered current content under Chromie Time.

So I honestly have no idea how it’s all supposed to work once you reach level 50. I’m guessing that BfA will be considered current content for level 50 and everything else will be considered lower level in a similar manner to how it is now? Meaning Legion Mythic Dungeons will be harder than Burning Crusade Heroic Dungeons, maybe?

If this is off topic I apologise and please point me to a more relevant thread of information source.

You can check this link. Timewalking content always scales according to our own level, but Chromie Time is not the same as this. The latter is only so that we can experience any expansion of our choice, up till before Shadowlands, as current content only while we level. We can turn it off and stuff shall squish to lower levels like right now.

Ahh so the current level scaling (not counting the squish) will still be in effect if you so choose, with Chromie Time being an alternative?

Pretty much.

My response was not for everyone, my response was directly for him who is a Mage, I was trying to help him show him how mages could learn that portal because in the first post he explicitly said he has this problem with his mage character.

Even if he also wants to know how to go to Crater Dalaran with other characters, and he never expresses that, he could just say so instead of being a jerk a calling me a troll for just explaining to him how mages could learn Crater Dalaran Portal.

That one is pointless. You need the teleport version anyway to be able to buy it.
It’s available to loot in the scarlett halls somewhere around the final boss

If someone says something you don’t like, doesn’t mean they are trolling you :eyes:
