Legion lfr worth farming for gold?

Hey all, I’ve never really had alot of luck making gold ingame with multiboxers, professions being pretty much pointless and ah flooding you put in too much time to get very little back. But I’ve always managed to earn enough to get by from running lfr wod raids.

Clearing all the lfr wings from all the raids nets me about 6/7k and takes around 60-90 mins depending on the character I use.

Now Legion raids have gone legacy with loot are they worth running on lfr too? I generally look at time vs return if it takes 3 hours to clear all wings of all raids and you only net 2k from drops it’s not really worth it. Also with Legion still being quite fresh compared to wod I’m pretty sure tos and antorus would be nigh on impossible for me to clear fully I think I’d be looking mostly at en and nighthold.

So does anyone have any experience with the gold return in the legion lfr and do you mind sharing your results .

I haven’t tried farming the Legion LFRs for gold, but I was for sure doing them for mogs at one point. If you gear the character up a little, you should have an easy time completing anything on LFR, and could even attempt normal/heroic versions of the raids. I can currently solo 6/9 bosses of ToS MYTHIC, on a class that is not at all made for soloing. So, don’t worry about not being able to kill stuff!

Now that you raise the question, I just did an EN LFR for curiosity. Got ~1600 gold. It’s very fast; most of my time was figuring out which of the exits were live in this LFR segment.

1600 is about equal to Highmaul, so from that one datapoint, it looks like Blizzard have tuned the gold to be sort-of equivalent to Warlords … which is actually a decent deal if you’re gold-farming, as an addition to your regular routine.

Just do them and find out, I guess.

Multiboxers have not done anything to your professions - that was on Blizzard for not making much of craftables very useful outside some weeks after some patches.

MoP/WOD is quicker and nets more and LFR is not where you should go.

From hour/gold wise i found raids kinda lacking behind mats farming (like herbs and leather). But since we are the end of xpac, demands of mats probably will sink, and dungeon farms could provide more gold.

But atm i can make more golds from skinning than raid spam.

Try freehold normal trash farm. Don’t kill bosses, just farm the trash. I don’t remember how much gold it was, but it is a lot. Get level 1 tailoring to boost your cloth drops, too.

Its only good if you have the gear, else its even worse than raid farming.

In term of GPH the early legion raids are worth your time. Less so for Anthorus iirc.

Iirc it’s close to ~250g per boss

There is a goldmaker youtube channel called Komlit wich kinda dedicated himself on raw gold farming (aka raid / dungeons etc), pretty sure he tryed to value the raw gold from Legion raids after they became Legacy Loots.
I’m not much into raw gold farming personally, so i’m not a real expert in this method, but maybe his channel could interest you.

P.S. I’ve seen alot of peoples saying that Emerald Nightmare is the new Highmaul, so if you run both of them in all difficulties i believe you can earn a nice bunch of golds, expecially with multiple chars
