Yes, we had legendary powers + artifacts.
They changed the hp, damage etc of the mobs. Your allies in there are also breaking CCs for some reason rather than switching to a non-CC’d target.
You had lego, tier setbonus, and artifact weapon. Ofc it was easier than now.
Also it was max lvl content, and not scaled down by the system.
That’s not the only difference.
The mages in the priest challenge as an example, you could safely let them get to 3 stacks in Legion. You’re in danger of wiping at even 2 stacks now.
Well for some spec challanges it can easy, but not for everyone.
If you didn’t do it week 1 it was heavily nerfed mechanics/tuning wise and there were extra systems to power up your character on top of item level boost.
You are not oveegearing IT by 100 itlv like people did in legion.
This Plas you had what 20 %dmg BUFF from argus ap BUFF alone plus exploding DMG ? (Dont remeber this anymore )

I didn’t overgear it by 100 item levels in Legion.
The mobs in the priest challenge are overtuned. You could let them get 3 stacks in Legion. Now? Nope, can’t even have 2 stacks because you can wipe.
Meanwhile, if I go on my druid, the damage output they do is a loooooot lower than on my priest. Even though druids have way more ways to stop the casts than a priest.
On my druid, it doesn’t matter if the allies attack the mage or not. On my priest, if they don’t attack the mage, I’m wiping and I can’t even force them to attack it like you could in Legion because they just break the shackle instead of switching target.
I did it in legion with nighthold gear, 30 ilvl BELOW what it was tuned for, and it was challenging but easily done in less than 10 attempts. Now I die from passive unavoidable damage or simply stuff never dies.
It’s not the same as it was in Legion, it’s different, it’s broken. HP and damage should get nerfed by AT LEAST a good 25/30% to make it similar to Legion, or just don’t deactivate legendaries and covenant stuff
Even better, tune it around us having these things as well, just like they tuned around us having artifacts and legendaries in Legion.
Which ones the easiest? I started with DH Hav spec because I felt like that was the easiest in Legion, yet i’m getting slapped silly.

I don’t know how they even messed it up, because it worked in Legion. Could just have gone with what existed in Legion rather than change things around but no, can’t do that because reasons. Gotta break something.
Because theirs scaling sucks… said it b4, i’ll say it again.
Just like they failed in scaling us to lvl 60 and made Legion and BFA content harder.
Or maybe… and it’s a bit wild, but they didn’t account for us not having Legion stuff active.
Could have just let us have our covenant/soulbind stuff active to compensate…
Ideally they would have made some templates and have us run those, it’s a bit more controlled, if they actually bothered to test it!
It crossed my mind earlier how its ironic that people were expecting a more casual MT but got this while the classic community was asking for harder, maybe pre-nerf, bosses for vanilla but got quite an easy content instead. But all that is just bound to make some people unhappy…
